APPLETON — Watertown’s girls tennis team won two flights at the Appleton West Invitational on Saturday.

Lily Oiler finished 3-0 to win at No. 3 singles, as did the No. 3 doubles team of Lily Gifford and Sophie Mattke.

“Overall this was a phenomenal day for our team,” Watertown girls tennis coach Andy Dobbins said. “Everyone gained some important experience and we all got to play in close, tight matches. These tournaments help prepare us for the rest of the season. I loved the energy and focus that we had today. This is a fun team that supports each other so well. I’m excited to see what we can do the rest of the way.”
