playground finished

Thanks in part to a $12,000 grant from the Earl and Eugenia Quirk Foundation, the Watertown Parks & Recreation Department added a playground to West Haven Park. A ribbon-cutting for the facility was held Wednesday. The playground is part of a master plan for the park and adding the structure is the start of development at the site. City officials thanked its crew for its time and effort on the project, as well as Quirk Foundation board members Jackie Quirk and Margret Murphy Conley for input. From left are Randy Wojtasiak, director of parks and recreation; Kyle Krueger, park and recreation commissioner; Mayor Emily McFarland; Jeff Doyle, parks crew and Dan Bartz, alderman.
