Easter fun in Waterloo

TOP LEFT: Ashley Reise, center, is surrounded by her daughters as they anticipated in Saturday’s Easter egg hunt at Firemen’s Park in Waterloo. From left are Emma, 8, Olivia, 8, Penelope, 2, and Natalie, 5. The four girls were dressed for the occasion, wearing colorful rabbit ears. TOP RIGHT: Gabreal Probst, 6, makes the Easter Bunny’s nose beep. The annual event returned this year after coronavirus caused it to be postponed last year. The Easter Bunny spent time before and after the hunt greeting children and having his picture taken with families. BOTTOM: The five- and six-year-old group was released to the carousel area for Waterloo’s Easter egg hunt. The hunt had five designated areas for seeking eggs based on age groups. The hunt was sponsored by the Waterloo Parks Department.
