SULLIVAN — The National Weather Service sent out a late afternoon update Monday regarding hot and humid conditions that will continue with a marginal risk of severe thunderstorms this afternoon.
"A heat advisory has been issued for all of southern Wisconsin from noon to 7 p.m. on Tuesday," a statement from the NWS said. "Highs are expected to reach 95 to 98 in the Milwaukee metro area through Racine and Kenosha counties, with highs around 95 elsewhere. Heat index values will range from 100 to 106 degrees."
A marginal risk for severe thunderstorms still exists this afternoon.
"Coverage is still uncertain, but storms that do form could be capable of hail and strong winds," the NWS said.
