Live entertainment returns to Ixonia’s Chivaree

IXONIA — The building was filled with music, dancing and celebration for over sixty years. Built in 1949 and operated for decades by volunteer firefighters, the original Fireman’s Hall in Ixonia began to lose its core volunteer staff in the 21st century to the point that the building began to slowly deteriorate and lose its appeal, according to a media release.

The township acquired the Hall in 2017 and leased it to Kristy (Kimball) Dirnbauer, owner of Modern Bloom in Oconomowoc. She refreshed and restored the building to serve its original purpose as a destination for weddings and dances, and rebranded it as Chivaree on Park, N8345 Park St., Ixonia.
