Loaves and Fishes meal planned

The Loaves and Fishes Community Meal is being served curbside Mondays from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at Watertown Moravian Church, 510 Cole St. The meal is sponsored by Ebenezer Moravian and Watertown Moravian churches. Each vehicle also receives a bag of food items.

Programs set at family center

Several new programs via the internet are being held at the Watertown Family Center. The center will post links on its Facebook page. On Mondays, there will be Storytime with Miss Christina that is recorded. She will share her favorite stories and sometimes have a special guest.

On Tuesdays, Gnorman the Gnome will be exploring Watertown and it’s history. Pictures of him will be posted along with clues for one to try to guess “Where in Watertown is Gnorman the Gnome?” Answers can be posted on Facebook. Those who are correct will be entered in a raffle for a prize.

Wednesday is “The Weekly Grind’s” where parents can come together, make new friends, share parenting ideas and learn ways to strengthen their families. It is available every Wednesday at 1 p.m. via Zoom. A link will be posted on Facebook.

Thursday will be the Watertown Family Center Dance Party Patrol. Staff will randomly pick a different WFC family each week to do a “Drive By Dance Party.”

One of the highlights of the playgroups is singing and dancing. Fridays is “WFC Song & Dance Party.” It will be hosted on Zoom at 10:30 a.m. The link will be posted on Facebook.

CROOKSTON, Minn. —Luke Roeseler of Watertown has been named to the spring semester 2020 Dean’s List at the University of Minnesota Crookston. Roeseler is majoring in management.

MILWAUKEE — Several individuals from the area are among 3,600 prospective candidates for degree attending University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee May commencement exercises rescheduled for Sunday, Oct. 10 in Milwaukee.

MILWAUKEE — Several area students were named to Wisconsin Lutheran College’s Dean’s List for the spring 2020 semester. To be eligible for dean’s list, a student must carry a semester grade point average of 3.6 or higher.

WHITEWATER — Caitlin Kirchner of Jefferson was among the students named the winners of the 2020 Communication Department Excellence Awards. at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Kirchner is studying speech.

GREENVILLE, SC — Caitlin Collupy of Watertown was among the more than 850 Bob Jones University students named to the Dean’s List for the Spring 2020 semester.

LAMONI, Iowa — Graceland University has announced the spring 2020 graduation list. Graduates from around the country and around the world have been recognized for earning undergraduate and graduate degrees from Graceland University between Jan. 31 through April 26.

MILWAUKEE — Wisconsin Lutheran College hosted a virtual honors convocation, during which scholarships and special awards were presented.

KENOSHA — The Carthage College Environmental Science Department has welcomed the Omega Chapter of Kappa Alpha Omicron, an Environmental Honors Society affiliated with the Interdisciplinary Environmental Association. Among its seven new members is Emily Krysinski of Watertown.

Lydia Downey of Lake Mills, was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Downey was initiated at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.
