BEAVER DAM -- The Dodge County Women's Club has announced its event calendar for the 2019-20 season.
A discussion on the history and science of wine paired with a guided tasting is the first free event of the season scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 12, at Old Hickory Golf Club in Beaver Dam.
Founded by Beaver Dam Women's Health in 2011, Dodge County Women's Club is a not-for-profit organization with more than 1,200 members. Events are open to all area women at no charge, and the group meets monthly on the second Thursday evening of each month from September through June. Attendees enjoy a mix of special events, including culture, healthy living and community support, including discussions of interesting topics that affect women today.
Dodge County Women's Club has announced the following events from September through June 2020:

-- Oct. 10, Fall Fashion Extravaganza with Salon 311 and B&B Boutique
-- Nov. 14, Art on the Town: Paint & Wine Night with Kris Schumacher-Rasmussen
-- Dec. 12, Christmas celebration with entertainment and a cookie exchange
-- Jan. 9, 2020, Craft Night with Elizabeth Nielsen, PA-C, of Beaver Dam Women's Health
-- Feb. 13, 2020, Self Love: Your Relationship with Complete Well-Being with Julie Maree, Reconnect Spiritual Sanctuary
-- March 12, 2020, Women's Health Panel Discussion with the professionals of Beaver Dam Women's Health
-- April 9, 2020, Finance for Women with American Bank
-- May 14, 2020, Charity Bingo Night in support of local charities

Mary Ostermann, the co-founder of Beaver Dam Women's Health, was instrumental in conceptualizing and founding the Dodge County Women's Club and talked about the upcoming season. "Our doors at the Dodge County Women's Club are open to all women in the greater Beaver Dam area. We look forward to seeing both new faces as well as familiar friends at all the club events.
"This season there's more of a reason than ever to attend. Some favorite themes return this season, and we are also introducing some new events -- truly special and unique activities -- that we think women will love," Ostermann added. "A special thank you goes to my colleague Donna Oathout. Donna has been so instrumental in helping develop the programs over the years." Dodge County Women's Club events are open to all area women.
