TOWN OF OCONOMOWOC — Zachariah's Acres green house will host a ribbon cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. Wednesday for its new 5,0540 square-foot production greenhouse.

The new greenhouse at N74 W35911 Servants' Way, Oconomowoc, will provide a year-round learning environment for individuals with special needs. The heated greenhouse will provide a respite on brisk days and expand vocational and volunteer opportunities for individuals with special needs.

Students from local schools or community organizations can have fun while learning important life skills such as punctuality, follow-through, work ethic, accomplishment, enthusiasm, and teamwork.

Produce grown in the gardens, orchard, or greenhouses are used in Zachariah's Acres Community Supported Agriculture, farm-to-table diners, food preservation, donated to local food pantries, and sold on the farm cart. The new greenhouse will allow for expansion of a cut flower subscription, increased donations to local food pantries, and an extended season of the CSA.

Zachariah's Acres is a non-profit organization located on 48 rural acres in the Town of Oconomowoc.
