Editor, Daily Times:

Praise God! The prayers of Ebenezer Moravian congregation have been answered. We learned that the Jefferson County Zoning Committee turned down an application to rezone a parcel of agricultural land. This parcel is less than a quarter mile from the Ebenezer Moravian Church and was to become home to a paintball park. We know, with faith, prayers are answered.

Some of us remain concerned how this application was approved by the town of Watertown in the first place. Is is possible that local government has little concern for its residents, much less for our 165-year-old congregation?

Join us in praying that the rezoning applicant may find a more suitable location for his park and that the Watertown township board might commit to being the advocate for their residents.
