PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. (AP) -- Daiwer Castellanos hit a two-run single in the fifth inning, leading the GCL Rays to a 6-4 win over the GCL Red Sox on Tuesday.

The single by Castellanos, part of a four-run inning, broke a scoreless tie before Abiezel Ramirez hit a two-run double later in the inning.

After GCL Rays added two runs in the sixth on a double by Juan Garcia, the GCL Red Sox cut into the deficit with four runs in the eighth inning, including a two-run double by Trey Ball.

Emilio Alfonzo (1-0) got the win with five innings of scoreless relief while GCL Red Sox starter Felix Cepeda (0-1) took the loss in the Gulf Coast League game.
