Canners douse Flames

FARMINGTON — Brock Vredeveld had three hits including a pair of doubles as the Clyman Canners defeated the Farmington Flames 13-0 in a Rock River League baseball game on Sunday.

Clyman led 4-0 through seven innings, then scored nine runs in the eighth to end it.

Tony Schmitt pitched seven innings to earn the decision, allowing no runs on two hits with seven strikeouts and no walks.

Clyman hosts the Hartford Hawks in a non-league game at Washington Park on Tuesday. The Canners travel to Brookfield for an SEWBL tournament game on Saturday and host Neosho in a Rock River League game on Sunday.
