L-Cats claim Brodhead Invitational with 5-0 record
BRODHEAD  Lake Mills' volleyball team won Saturday's Brodhead Invitational with a 5-0 mark.
The L-Cats breezed by Argyle and New Glarus in straight sets to open the tournament.
Lake Mills then beat Monroe 25-17, 25-19 and defeated Dodgeville 25-9, 26-24.
In the final, the L-Cats beat host Brodhead 25-19, 25-21 to push their season record to 13-1.
Grace Schopf totaled 29 kills while Sophia Lee registered 25 kills to go along with a team-high 4 1/2 blocks.
Sydney Lewellin had 110 assists and three blocks. Olivia Karlen led the team with six aces and Tatum Riggleman and Katie Palmer each registered five aces for the L-Cats. Riggleman also notched 62 digs.
Lake Mills plays at Poynette today and at Lakeside Lutheran Thursday in Capitol North action. Both games begin at 6:45 p.m.
