Falcons notch tenth win

WAUPUN - Senior guard Julia Leinen scored 12 points and sophomore guard Rylie Collien added 10 for Hustisford's girls basketball team in a 45-36 Trailways East win over Central Wisconsin Christian on Tuesday.

Hustisford (10-8, 5-5 in conference) led 25-10 at halftime. Central Wisconsin Christian (9-8, 4-6) made a late push to pull within single digits.

"We played really good defense in the first half," Hustisford girls basketball coach Jason Hildebrandt said. "We may have gotten a little tired in the second half. They hit some 3s late in the game to make it a little closer."

Collien added six rebounds, three steals and three assists for the Falcons. Senior guard Sam Peplinski and senior forward Alisha Peplinski each dished out five assists.

"Alisha has been getting doubled and tripled the last two games," Hildebrandt said. "She's been finding people wide open."

Hustisford hosts Wayland on Friday.
