Kenneth J. Schumann, 83, of Watertown, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2019, at his home.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday at 6 p.m. at Hafemeister Funeral Home with the Rev. Todd Iverson officiating. Military honors will be conducted following the service. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the time of service. Memorials, if desired, may be directed to the VFW Post No. 3709. Kenneth Jon Schumann was born on March 11, 1936, to Lester and Lucille (nee Rose) Schumann in Milwaukee. Ken attended Watertown High School. On Dec. 30, 1961, Kenneth married the former Geraldine Kreuziger at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Clyman. Ken served faithfully as a member of the United States Army National Guard. He was employed at Avon Hi-Life in Johnson Creek until his retirement. Ken enjoyed fishing, gambling, bowling, and spending quality time with his friends, family and grandchildren. In his spare time, Ken watched race car events, both local and professional, and would attend the Indy 500 time trials.
He is survived by his children, Shari Schumann, Mike Schumann, Lisa (Roger) Cutsforth and Wendy Zehren; grandchildren, Cody Schumann, Joshua (fiancée Melissa Makovec) Koehler, Jesse Koehler, Patrick Cutsforth, Andrew (Amanda) Cutsforth, Tyler Cutsforth, Eric (Kristin) Zehren, James (Lynn) Zehren, April (fiancé Justin Enriquez) Zehren, Jacob Zehren; great-grandchildren, Tahlia Koehler, Aiden Cutsforth, Ashton Cutsforth, Collin Cutsforth, Arlo Cutsforth, Zaida Zehren, Ella Zehren, Laila Zehren, Emry Zehren, Adrian Enriquez and Julian Enriquez; siblings-in-law, Marion Seiler, Aubrey Weber, Barbara (Rodney) Kohn, Donna (Kenneth) France, Raymond (Kathy) Kreuziger, Donald (Shirley) Kreuziger, Francis Kreuziger, and Steven Kreuziger; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Geraldine "Gerri" Schumann; his parents; siblings-in-law, Karen Allen, Sylvia Jean Kreuziger, Kenny Kreuziger, Paul Kreuziger, Robert Kreuziger, Paul Seiler, Dorothy Weber, Earl Kreuziger, Diane Kreuziger and Sharon Kreuziger.
