LAKE MILLS -- Ralph R. Eisele, 89, of Lake Mills, formerly of Fennimore, died on Friday, Feb. 2, 2018, at the Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center in Johnson Creek.
He was born on Dec. 10, 1928, in Fennimore, the son of the late Frank and Minnie (Plattner) Eisele. He was a graduate of Fennimore High School, class of 1946.
Ralph married Shirley Hollenberger on Oct. 25, 1953. She died Oct. 22, 1986.
He was a resident of Lake Mills since 1948, moving from Fennimore. He had been employed at Thomas Industries in Fort Atkinson from 1953-1962, owned and operated Eisele Grocery Store from 1962-1976, and had been a tool and die maker for Hamlin Inc. from 1972 until his retirement in 1991.
He was a veteran of the Korean War (1951-1953), serving in the U.S. Army.
Ralph was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lake Mills and the Clarence Bean-Warren George American Legion Post No. 67.
He had been a participant of the Honor Flight.
Survivors include his two daughters, Brenda (Larry) Wegner of Jefferson and Bonnie (Al Rominsky Jr.) Eisele, other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by five brothers, Frank, Fred, Carlos, Donald and Willard, and one sister, Helen Fitzgerald.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Fennimore with the Revs. Kristi Ursin and Mark Dressel officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the Claussen Funeral Home in Lake Mills and also after 10 a.m. on Thursday at the church until the time of services. Burial with military graveside rites will be at Prairie Cemetery in Fennimore.
