LEBANON -- Daniel "Danny" D. Maas, 57, of Lebanon; Monday June 17, 2019, the Lord called Danny to heaven unexpectedly.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Lebanon with Rev. Douglas Bergelin officiating. Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Friday and at 10 a.m. at the church on Saturday until the time of the service. Burial will take place at the parish cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be directed to St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Lebanon. Hafemeister Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Watertown is serving the family. Daniel Dale Maas was born on Oct. 30, 1961, at St. Mary's Hospital in Watertown to Dale and Caroline (Dobbratz) Maas. Danny married the love of his life, Laura Splan, on July 3,1982, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Lebanon. He was a lifelong farmer and was currently driving truck part time for Super Nova Trucking in Richfield.
Danny enjoyed numerous activities, especially trap shooting and hunting. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Lebanon and was always willing to help anyone with anything. He served as a member on the Lebanon Lutheran School board, and was the current president of the Lebanon Sportsman Club. He also was involved in hunter safety as an instructor. Danny had three passions in life God, spending time with family, and farming. He will forever be leaving a lasting impression on all the generations that helped on the farm.
He is survived by his parents Dale and Caroline Maas of Lebanon; his wife Laura Maas of Lebanon; son, Matt (Lauren) Maas of Lebanon and their children, Isabella, Alexis, Garrett; daughter, Amanda (Shane) Donegon of Lebanon and their children, Audrina and Aurora; sister, Debra Becker and her children, Meg and Logan; brother, Darrin (Debra) Maas and their children, McKayla, Samantha, and Ethan, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law Norman and Florence Splan.
