Beverley J. Dehnert

Beverley "Bev" J. Dehnert, 86, of Watertown, passed away peacefully in her sleep, in Waukesha, at the home of her daughter on Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at the Hafemeister Funeral Home. Burial will be at St. Henry's Catholic Cemetery in Watertown.

Relatives and friends may call at the Hafemeister Funeral Home on Friday from 4-7 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.

Beverley Jean Whiteley was born on Oct. 3, 1925, to Alfred and Iva (White) Whiteley in Wonewoc.  On May 14, 1949, she married Merlyn "Spike" Dehnert in Oconomowoc. He preceded her in death on May 9, 1984.

Bev worked at Welbourne Hall in Watertown for many years and retired from Homestyle Bakery. She loved spending time with her family, was an avid Wisconsin sports fan and watched the Milwaukee Brewers, Wisconsin Badgers, Milwaukee Bucks and the Green Bay Packers. She also enjoyed cooking, baking and gardening.

Bev is survived by her children, Linda (Charlie) Poppert of Gurnee, Ill., Tom (Dawn) Dehnert of Watertown, Denise (Josh) Folcik of Waukesha; son-in-law Ray Sherry; stepchildren, Jack (Pauline) Dehnert and Pam Mee; 12 grandchildren, Jenny (Brandon) Frentzel, Jeremy (Heather) Dehnert, Jamie (Kurt) Van Straten, Jimmy Dehnert, Dan (Traci) Poppert, Matt (Cheryl) Poppert, Paul (Tamara) Poppert, Tim (Alicia) Poppert, Nikki (Nate) Salas, Kelly (Nathan) Weber, Mark (Lanae Carr) Sherry and Jodi (Mike) Nienow; great-grandchildren, Casandra and Abigail Frentzel, Eric Van Straten, Dylan, Zoe and Kyle Poppert, Emma, Tanner and Teagan Poppert, Sofia and Ava Salas; Lily and Carter Weber; her two sisters Lorraine (Tom Turner) Lekas and Verleen Pluhar, along with other relatives and friends.

She was further preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Jerry and James Dehnert; a brother, Dean Whiteley, and her best friend, Betty Shick.

 Lori A. Russell

 Lori A. Russell, 60, of Watertown passed away Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, at the Aurora Medical Center in Summit surrounded by her family.

She is the daughter of Ralph “Shorty” and Janet (Hartwig) Shoemaker. Lori was born in Watertown on Feb. 14, 1952. She grew up in Lake Mills and graduated from Watertown High School. In 1975, Lori married Kirby Russell and moved to Westborough, Mass., until returning to Watertown where she lived for nearly 30 years. Lori’s second marriage was to Dan Helbing on Nov. 4, 2011.

Lori was committed to helping others improve their lives with better health and environmentally friendly products. She worked as a nutritional consultant and developed a Shaklee business over the course of almost 30 years during which time she received numerous awards for her business success. Lori greatly enjoyed the outdoors, being on the beach and swimming in the lake with her friends, family and dog, Lady J. Lori was a warm and caring person with a quick smile who was loved by many for her lively spirit.

Lori is survived by her husband, Dan Helbing; a son, Nathan Russell of Cambridge, Mass.; her father, Shorty Shoemaker of Lake Mills; a sister, Sandi (Curt) Jensen of Sun Prairie; her brothers, Scot Radloff of Massachusetts, Thomas (Marcia) Radloff of Watertown, Timothy (Kristina) Levonyan Radloff of New York; her stepson, Matthew (Lisa) Helbing and their children, Henry and Theodore, of Lawrence, Kan.; nieces, Stacee, Heather, Samantha, Stephanie, Justine and Amanda; and nephews, David, Jacob, Alex and León; as well as other extended relatives and many dear friends; and her two good friends, Lady J. and Lizzie.

Lori was preceded in death by her mother, Janet Hartwig.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at the Watertown Moravian Church with the Rev. Barbara Berg presiding. Burial will be in the Rock Lake Cemetery in Lake Mills following a luncheon at the church.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather to share memories of Lori at the Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

James P. Sherry

James Patrick Sherry, age 57, of Watertown, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012, at his home, surrounded by his loving family, following a courageous two-year battle with cancer.

Jim was born on April 5, 1955, in Chicago, the son of John F. and Dorothy (Dugan) Sherry. Jim attended school in Chicago. On Sept. 29, 2000, he married Karen Zimmermann at St. John's Lutheran Church in Watertown. Jim was employed at Wisconsin Furniture Custom Shoppe as a purchasing manager for 21 years. Jim enjoyed golfing and spending time with family, especially the children who loved their "Jimmy."

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Rodney Warnecke officiating. Burial will be at the Lutheran Cemetery in Water-town.

Relatives and friends may call at the Hafemeister Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jim's name may be given to St. John's Lutheran School, Make-A-Wish Foundation or the charity of one's choice.

Jim is survived by his wife, Karen of Watertown; his stepson Aaron (Lyn) Zimmermann of Watertown; his brother and sisters, Barbara (Eddie) Sherry of Brandon, Fla., Sue (Tony) Kraemer of Watertown, Ray (Jenny) Sherry of Watertown and Kathy (Dean) Loppnow of Ixonia; his father-in-law, Max Stueber of Watertown, and brother-in-law, Gary (Debbie) Stueber of Cottage Grove; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Dorothy Sherry, and mother-in-law, Bernice Stueber.

A special thanks to UW Cancer Center of Johnson Creek, Dr. Eastman, Karen, Dawn, Dianna and Mary for their special care during the two years of chemo.

Howard G. Chadwick

    

ASHIPPUN — Howard George Chadwick, 85, Ashippun, passed away of pneumonia Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012, at Aurora Hospital in Oconomowoc.

Howard, son of Glen and Jean (Peck) Chadwick, was born on Feb. 21, 1927, in Marshall.

He left behind his wife of 54 years, Marjorie (Dedrick) Chadwick. They were married Aug. 23 at the Methodist church in Milwaukee. He worked as a carpenter for most of his life and retired at age 62. Howard spent his years of retirement working on his hobby farm and showing off his carpentry skills around the house. Howard loved the outdoors and traveled much of the countryside with his wife. He also enjoyed watching tractor pulls and collecting John Deere tractors. Howard enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing with his grandchildren and helping others.

Howard had four children, Ralph Chadwick (passed in May of 2006), Dale Chadwick (passed in April 2007), Dennis Chadwick (passed in February of 2007) and Douglas Chadwick of Fort Atkinson .

Survivors include, wife, Marjorie; daughter-in-law, Diane Chadwick; grandchildren, Sara (Tony) Weber, Clinton (Nena) Chadwick and Angela (Rob) Sterr; great-grandchildren, Josh (Kristina) Weber, Adam Weber, Cassandra Weber, Chelsea Weber, Alissa Chadwick, Caleb Sterr, Michael Sterr and Hope Sterr; also survived by a number of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, sisters and three sons.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Sept. 1, from 10-11 a.m. and funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. with lunch to follow at Good Shepherd Methodist Church in Oconomowoc. The Rev. John Strassburger will be conducting the service.

Memorials can be made to Good Shepherd Methodist church or charity of one’s choice.
