Beth Ellen Canaan, 46, of Watertown, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011, at her home.
Beth Ellen was born on Dec. 3, 1964, in Watertown, daughter of James and Ila (Fry) Canaan. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a bachelor’s degree, she worked as an IT specialist for the Wisconsin Public Broadcasting System for over 20 years. She enjoyed reading, quilting, listening to music, camping, cooking and her cats.
Survivors include her mother Ila Canaan of Watertown; a sister, Linda (Jeffery) Westenberg of Watertown; a niece, Heather (Vernon) Fleischman of Waterloo; a nephew, James Spinhirne of Waterloo; a niece, Rebecca (Craig) Sinnen of Milwaukee; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Tristan, Caitlin, Krystal, Terri, James, Amanda and Colton. She is also survived by a number of other relatives and friends.
A private family service will be held at a later date.

Irene V. Reichert, 81, of Watertown, passed away Tuesday morning, Nov. 1, 2011, at Golden LivingCenter in Watertown.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Watertown with the Rev. Terry Larson officiating. Burial will be in Glenview Memorial Gardens in Ixonia.
Relatives and friends may call to pay their respects at the Hafemeister Funeral Home on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
Memorials are suggested to the church.
The former Irene V. Wilke was born in Waunakee on March 2, 1930, daughter of Ernest and Clara Wilke. In January 1950, she married Larry Reichert at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Watertown.
Irene was a graduate of Waunakee High School and had been employed at BASO in Watertown for 10 years. She was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church and Watertown Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary No. 3709. Irene was very active in the community and enjoyed playing bingo and cards.
Survivors include her husband, Larry of Watertown; her children, Dixie Reichert, Robbin (Beverly) Reichert and Ellen Wollin, all of Watertown; two grandchildren, Brian (Cindy) Reichert and Jamie (Ben) Walters; three great-grandchildren, Cooper Allen Walters, Amanda Reichert and Katrina Reichert; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Irene was the last member of her immediate family, being preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Dorothy Stahl; and three brothers, Wilbert Wilke, Roy Wilke and Robert Wilke.
