Donald "Don" A. Wegner, 83, of Watertown, passed away Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at the Watertown Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at noon at St. John's Lutheran Church in Ixonia, with the Rev. Allen Tetzlaff officiating. Burial, with Military Honors, will be at Glenview Memorial Gardens in Ixonia.

Relatives and friends may call to pay their respects at the church on Friday from 10 until the time of the service.

Donald Arnold Wegner was born in Oconomowoc on May 10, 1930, son of Norman and Lydia (Bartel) Wegner.

Don graduated from the Oconomowoc High School and had been employed as a plumber. On May 17, 1958, he married Beverly Tetzlaff at Zion Lutheran Church in Hartland. Beverly preceded him in death on April 26, 1994.

Don was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Sugar Island and St. John's Lutheran Church in Ixonia, the VFW in Lowell and the American Legion.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf.

Survivors include his children, Daniel (Vickie) Wegner of Hartford and David (Bonnie) Wegner of Sugar Island; his five grandchildren, Amanda (Chad) Marshall, Mitchell (Nikki) Wegner, Trevor Wegner, Douglas Wegner, Derrick Wegner; a stepgrandchild, Brian Kaul; two great-grandchildren, Brody Marshall and Kennedy Wegner; a sister, Joyce (Donald) Dorn, two sisters-in-law, Eldora Wegner and Sandra Wegner, along with nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Don was also preceded in death by his parents and brothers.
