Don Lee Miller, age 73, of the town of Ashippun, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2019. He was born June 9, 1946, in Watertown to Elmer and Ruth (Brietkruetz) Miller. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church, Ashippun.
Don grew up on the family farm in the town of Ashippun where he could be found driving and operating the farm machinery at a young age. During his younger years he also would look forward to going to northern Wisconsin where his grandmother had a cottage on Post Lake. Fishing there was his pastime.
Don went to elementary school in Ashippun to St. John's Parochial and went to Neosho Public School until the eighth grade. He graduated from Hartford High School in 1965.
He worked at Broan Mfg. in Hartford, Rolair in Hustisford and later International Stamping in Hartford from which he retired. After his retirement his summers were spent taking care of his garden and cutting the grass at the Neosho Archers Club where he was a member for many years. His fall was taken up by his greatest passion, deer hunting. He enjoyed watching the Packers and listening to the Brewers on the radio.
Don is survived by his mother, Ruth Johann of Hartford; sister, Barbara Daniels of Neosho; nephews, Mike (Amy) of Slinger and Mark of Hartland. Also survived by a daughter, Tammy (Dave) Pierzchalski of Delafield; three grandchildren, Talon, Hunter and Sawyer. Don was preceded in death by his grandparents; father, Elmer Miller and brother-in-law, Don Daniels. Respecting Don's wishes there will be no funeral services, a celebration of life will be held at a future date.
