Watertown -- Monsace "Mouse" Banda, 78, of Watertown, WI passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at Harbor Haven in Fond du Lac, WI. Monsace Banda was born on June 19, 1941 in Sabinal, Texas, the son of Juan and Juanita (nee Vasquez) Banda. He was a graduate of Sabinal High School in Texas. On July 9th, 1983 he was united in marriage to Sandra J. Adams. Sandy preceded him in death on February 10, 2017. He served in the United States Army in Alaska. Mouse started his career as an apprentice tool & die maker for Village Blacksmith, which later became Fisher-Barton. He completed his apprenticeship and worked as a tool & die maker for them, as well as AO Smith, before retiring from Briggs & Stratton. Mouse enjoyed camping and driving throughout the countryside and state parks with his family. He loved spending time outdoors and nature hikes as well as watching old westerns. He was an avid Green Bay Packer and Wisconsin Badger fan.
Mouse is survived by two daughters, Kerry (Kevin) Cassady of Monroe, WA and Renee Dunn of Oconomowoc; a grandson Nathaniel Dunn; brothers, Larry Banda, Frank (Maria) Banda and sister Elida Banda, nieces, nephews as well as other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, mother-in-law Leona Adams, and sister-in-law, Nina Banda.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown with Rev. Jeffrey Meyer officiating. Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Watertown.
