Sheriff donation

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received a donation of $2,000 from the Randy Schopen Foundation for the department’s “Give Someone a Chance” program. Sgt. Michael Cherti requested the donation on behalf of the drone program to get it up and operating. The drone program has been able to assist with traffic crashes to help with mapping and crime scenes to assist with overall aerial views. It has been used it to locate lost subjects, saving countless hours of search time and thousands of dollars in manpower.
