TOWN OF CONCORD -- The Concord Town Board has joined some of the area townships by passing an ATV/UTV ordinance at the July meeting after reviewing and discussing a rough draft ordinance, presented by the plan committee.
The board was approached in December of 2017 about possibly opening some of the town roads for operation of ATV/UTVs, which was denied in 2018. A request was again made in May, reviewed and passed.
There were no zoning requests.
The treasurer's report and payment of monthly bills were approved.
The board approved a request for use of the Community Center as a rest area for the annual MS bike ride on Aug. 3.
Bids for upgrading windows, aluminum siding, soffit and facia of the Community Center were reviewed and tabled to the August meeting. More estimates will be sought.
Operator's licenses for John Bender, Debra Schueh and Patricia Bender for the Concord House were approved.
A group of concerned residents approached the board regarding general cleanup of properties in the township.
The annual town of Concord picnic will be held Aug. 11 at Dahnert Park from noon to 5 p.m. Attendees should bring a dish to pass. Monetary donations, along with any help, would be appreciated.
