Trinity-St. Luke’s Lutheran School will hold an open house for students interested in attending the 3K, 4K, 5K, first and second grade classrooms of Trinity-St. Luke’s Lutheran School for the 2020-2021 school year.

The open house will take place Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Western Avenue campus of Trinity-St. Luke’s Lutheran School located at 801 S. Fifth St.

At the open house, plans will be shared with interested parents on the expansion plans for the early childhood education program. Beginning with the 2020-2021 school year TSL is planning to offer both the 3K and 4K programs up to five mornings a week. Costs and other fees will be discussed with prospective families at the open house.

For the 3K program, children must be age three by Sept. 1, and the program is open to three- and four-year-olds. For the 4K program, children must be age 4 by Sept. 1 and it is open to four- and five-year-olds.

Those parents interested in the 5K program must have children that are age 5 by Sept.1. The 5K program is a full-day program allowing students to stay all day, every day.

To enter first grade school, students should have successfully completed a 5K or kindergarten level of education.

Children of families entering 5K and grade one could be eligible for a voucher through the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program to pay for tuition and fees. At the open house, the principal will be available to explain the residency, income, and prior education requirements as well as answer questions on the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program.

At the open house, children and parents have a chance to meet Emily Vanderhoof, the 3K and 4K teacher; Michelle Wegner, the 5K teacher; Emily Borgwardt, the first grade teacher; and Alissa Schroeder, the second grade teacher. The open house is an ideal time to see the early childhood classrooms and school facilities and participate in learning activities. Children can participate in a number of events during the open house.
