TOWN OF CONCORD -- The Concord Historical Museum will be open Thursday, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The museum is at W1185 Concord Center Drive across the road from the Concord Park. Members of the Concord Historical Society will be there to talk about local history, artifacts in the collection, and museum planning. This is an opportunity to chat about any topic of local history and to learn more about the mission of CHS.

Given the patriotic themes of the early summer season -- Memorial Day, the 75th anniversary of D-Day, Flag Day on Friday, and Fourth of July celebrations -- the group is interested in hearing about memories of service in the military, life on the home front, and local veterans' experiences. The historical group encourages visitors to bring photos and artifacts for show-and-tell and stories to share.

These open hours are part of an outreach effort that will happen on the second Thursday of the month through October. The next open hours will be on July 11. The museum is also open by appointment.

If individuals want to let the museum know he or she is visiting, call Renee at 414-807-8119 or email her at
