JOHNSON CREEK -- The Johnson Creek Public Library's annual Child Health and Safety Fair will be held Aug. 1 from 4:30-7 p.m. at the Johnson Creek Community Center.

This free event is open to the public and has activities and prizes inside and out.

"Browse the booths inside to get free swag and learn about all the amazing resources available to families in our area," a media release stated. "Spray the firehose, sit in a police car, and play around on the outdoor fitness jungle gym. The Flight For Life helicopter will land at 4:45 p.m. in the baseball field and the free raffle prizes will be drawn at 6:45 p.m."

The Johnson Creek School District's One Team, One Dream organization will be selling hot dogs, burgers, nachos, popcorn, candy, soda and Gatorade to raise money for the athletic facilities.
