JUNEAU -- Dodge County Treasurer Patti Hilker suggests residents mail their second installment real estate payment to Dodge County as soon as possible to insure a timely payment. The U.S. Postal Service recommends mailing first class mail at least seven days before the due date of July 31 to ensure on-time delivery.
"Dodge County mail is routed through Milwaukee, and no longer automatically postmarked at the local post offices," Hilker said. "Should you put your payment envelope in the mail locally, it will go to Milwaukee and be postmarked as they get to it there, which could cause it to be postmarked late, even though you mailed it here on time."
Dodge County real estate tax payment options include:
-- Mail or pay in person (cash or check only): Dodge County Treasurer, 127 E. Oak St., Juneau, WI 53039. Include a self-addressed, stamped envelope to receive a receipt. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Patrons should use inside drop box for no waiting.
-- Pay online with a credit or debit card at www.officialpayments.com. Use Jurisdiction Code No. 5936. There is a convenience fee charged by the service provider.
