JEFFERSON -- Jefferson County Fair officials have announced that on Saturday, July 13, Walker Hayes and Drake White & The Big Fire will headline the main stage.

Hayes is a singer/songwriter originally from Mobile, Alabama. His current single, "90's Country," references 22 country songs from the 1990s, including three by Sammy Kershaw, who will play at the Jefferson County Fair on Friday, July 12.

In December 2017, Hayes released his debut album, "boom.," which he co- produced with Grammy Award-winning producer and songwriter McAnally. The 10-track album includes the RIAA certified platinum hit "You Broke Up With Me," as well as fan favorites "Halloween" and "Beautiful." Tracks from the album were nominated for Radio Disney Country Favorite Song ("You Broke Up With Me"), CMT Breakthrough Music Video of the Year ("You Broke Up With Me") and AIMP Song of the Year ("Craig"). Hayes has previously toured with Kelsea Ballerina, Thomas Rhett, Dan + Shay, Old Dominion and more.

White is described by fair officials as being "a passionate songwriter and recording artist from Alabama." He was named one of Entertainment Weekly's New Artists Who Will Rule 2017, Rolling Stone's 10 Country Artists You Need To Know and Billboard's Hot New Country Artists to Watch and No Depression's 7 Male Artists to Breakout in 2018. White and his band, The Big Fire, have toured with artists including Willie Nelson, Dierks Bentley, Zac Brown Band, Eric Church, Kip Moore and more. White sold out a fall 2018 tour throughout the U.S. and U.K. The sultry "Makin' Me Look Good Again" hit the top spot on SiriusXM's The Highway with its deeply personal lyrics about his wife and contagious groove. His song "Heartbeat" was showcased in two of Geico's national television campaigns. He recently put together "Drake White and The Big Fire Live" (2018) and the celebrated five-track EP, "Pieces" (2018).

The Jefferson County Fair will again offer paid reserved seating, the Party Pit -- standing-room only area in front of the stage -- and free grandstand seating. Tickets will go on sale March 18 at 10 a.m. Tickets may be purchased online at JcFairPark.com or at the fair office.

The 2019 Jefferson County Fair will kick off July 10 and run through July 14 with fun and entertainment for the whole family.

In addition to all the Grandstand entertainment, the fair offers the traditional Midway carnival games and attractions, as well as plenty of food and beverages.

The northwest corner of the fair park is home to Jefferson County 4H displays of all kinds.
