JEFFERSON — Powerful Tools for Caregiver class will be held on Wednesdays, from 9:30-11 a.m. March 4 to April 8 at the Jefferson Senior Activity Center.
Participants will learn to reduce stress, improve confidence, better communicate feelings, make tough decisions and locate helpful resources.
The six-week class is free.
Jefferson senior center will be closed Monday for Presidents’ Day. County Senior Dining and Meals on Wheels will operate as usual.
The ukulele group will meet at 2 p.m. Wednesday.
Strength, balance and focus class will be held for six weeks on Mondays from 10-10:45 a.m. March 2 to April 6. Cost is $25. Pay at the first class. Sign up ahead of time. This class will help with balance, strengthening bones and stretching.
Bingo will be played at 1 p.m. Tuesday. Sponsor is Elite Day Services.
“Guys and Dolls” Fireside show will be held on Wednesday, March 18, at 10:30 a.m. Cost is $68 which includes meal, tip and the show. Transportation is on one’s own. On the menu is chicken and ribs.
Birthday card making class will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Cost is $3 per card which includes all materials, instruction and an envelope for mailing.
Anyone who likes to sew can attend a quilter’s group from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. The group makes quilts for Linus and Christmas Neighbors.
