OCONOMOWOC -To help celebrate 30 years of offering its annual craft festival to the community, First Congregational United Church of Christ of Oconomowoc plans to take its annual fall event up a notch by adding live music entertainment, children's activities and more.

The newly dubbed Rocktoberfest will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at the church located at 815 S. Concord Road in Oconomowoc.

It's one of the Oconomowoc area's biggest craft fairs with more than 40 crafters and vendors filling both floors of the church. There will also be home-baked items for sale, including desserts and breads, and several varieties of pies, both whole and by the slice.

This year's event will include live Christian praise music outside between 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. featuring the bands "Spoken For" and "His Way." An outdoor food tent will offer beer, wine, soft drinks, BBQ pulled pork sandwiches, brats, hot dogs, homemade chili and soups. Children's activities include face painting, games and other surprises.

Proceeds from Rocktoberfest benefit the church's youth programs, missions and community outreach efforts.

Admission and parking are free.
