The monthly meeting of the Wethonkitha Club Ladies Auxiliary was held Thursday at the Rose Garden. There were 24 members present.

Hostesses for the evening were Hazel Nagel, Doris Pirkel, Edie Schwoch and Jeri Shaw. A meal of salad bar or soup, roast pork, stuffing, mashed potatoes with gravy, mixed vegetables and ice cream started the evening.

The business meeting was called to order by Vice President Georgene Schramm. The secretary's reports from November and December 2017 were read and accepted. The treasurer's report was read and accepted. Members were reminded to pay dues for 2018 if they haven't done so.

There was no old business. A brief discussion was held about the use of the private room at the Rose Garden for meetings. The new manager met with the group and was given the group's meeting dates for the rest of the year so he could put the reservations on his calendar.

The door prize was won by Gloria Meyer.

February is Heart Healthy Month and a speaker from Curves will give a presentation on exercise and healthy eating. In March Alpha Resources will give a presentation and members will be encouraged to bring an item on the organization's wish list to donate. More information will be available at the meeting in February.

Hostesses for the Feb. 22 meeting are Ione Staude, Sylvia Tester, Jan Tomhave and Kay Ulhorn.

There was no further business and the meeting was adjourned.

Bingo with prizes was the entertainment.
