Summit Credit Union recently unveiled to its members the Summit Voice Banking Skill for Amazon Alexa, becoming one of the first credit unions in the nation to use voice technology.
Through its Amazon-enabled device, Summit members can now access accounts and manage finances completely hands-free.
“We are one of the first financial institutions across the country to offer this technology. It’s an added convenience for those who bank with Summit,” Summit Credit Union CEO and President Kim Sponem, said.
The Summit Voice Banking Skill allows customers to check balances, deposit checks, transfer money and even make payments by simply saying, “Alexa, ask Summit Credit Union to…,” without touching a screen or clicking a button.
The hands-free banking service is just the latest way Summit has embraced technology for its members. Summit is one of just 10 financial institutions to offer the Reserve with Google feature, which allows people to book appointments while using Google Search or Google Maps.
To use Summit’s hands-free banking, members should download the Alexa app. They should then simply search for Summit Voice Banking in the Skills menu.
