JEFFERSON -- Dale W. Naatz has retired, effective Monday, with more than 32 years of service to the Jefferson County Highway Department.

Naatz started with the Highway Department Sept. 2, 1986, as a patrolman. For 19 years of his career, he held the position of equipment mechanic and finished his career as a highway worker.

"Dale was very active and dedicated to the highway department's union, Local 655. He served for 31 years in various roles to include chief steward, vice president, and executive board," a media release from the highway department stated.

Naatz lives in Watertown with his wife, Jackie. They have three children, Troy, Michelle and Cassie. They have six grandchildren.

Naatz plans to enjoy his retirement with his family and grandchildren, as well as traveling and finishing home projects.
