Michael Higbee is the new Edward Jones financial advisor in town said this week he wants to get to know the residents and business owners here.

“I realize that to get people to open up, I must open up as well,” Higbee said. “I know I’m new in town, but I’m eager to become an active member of this community and someone people recognize on the street.

After being hired, Edward Jones financial advisors go through one of the most rigorous training programs in the industry, involving three months of 10-hour days, six days a week.

Edward Jones, a Fortune 500 company headquartered in St. Louis, provides financial services in the U.S. and, through its affiliate, in Canada.
