BURNETT -- The Manufacturing Business Alliance of the Dodge County Region is hosting an event to recognize organizations and individuals that are promoting careers in manufacturing.

The event is set for 7:30-9:30 a.m. Feb. 28 at Springbrook Estate, N8400 County Highway I in Burnett. It is sponsored by John Deere Horicon Works and Apache Stainless Equipment, Beaver Dam.

The cost is $20 per person and includes a catered breakfast.

Those receiving manufacturing partnership awards are Danica Nilsestuen, Workforce Development Board of South Central Wisconsin; and Metalcraft with facilities in Beaver Dam and Mayville.

Those receiving manufacturing in education awards are Moraine Park Technical College, Beaver Dam Campus; and Jesse Domer, technical education teacher at Watertown High School.

Megan Dean, a Quad Graphics, Inc., Lomira facility employee will receive a career in manufacturing award. Chase McKinnon, a Mayville High School student with apprenticeship at Quad Graphics, Inc., Lomira facility will receive a youth in manufacturing award. The event is open to the public.
