WAUKESHA — In a recent ceremony at Generac’s Waukesha headquarters, the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development presented Generac — with a production facility in Jefferson — with the Exemplary Employer Award in recognition of the company’s commitment to recruit and hire individuals with disabilities.

The award came as part of the department’s support of National Disability Employment Awareness Month, which occurs annually in October.

“Generac prides itself on having a culture of inclusiveness,” Loren Richmond, vice president of operations, Generac, who accepted the award for the company, said. “When you work here, you’re part of a family. On behalf of that family, we’re grateful for the recognition and what it says about Generac and the fine manufacturing tradition in Wisconsin of which we are a part.”

The Exemplary Employer Award aligns perfectly with Generac’s philosophy of providing help and hope to those who need it.

Generac’s growth means continued opportunities for job seekers throughout Southeastern Wisconsin.
