Her final hours were spent surrounded by family and friends who had touched her in some small way during her full and spirited life.

Emily had beautiful blue eyes, a kind and generous heart, a thoughtful and fun-loving nature, and a smile that will be remembered forever. She found delight in the smallest things and noticed everything.

She loved animals, Chinese food, squash, playing outside and going on bug hunts. She loved to sing and dance. Her favorite sound was of crickets chirping. Although we feel that our hearts are breaking and we can't imagine a life without Emily in it, we are blessed by all that she has taught us.

Dad was a daredevil from early childhood and always had a playful attitude. He especially enjoyed fast cars, motorcycles, flying, playing with his girls and weekends out to the lake.

In Florida he loved going to the beach, boating, swimming, lounging poolside and feeding the alligators. He was into anything sports related, but especially NASCAR and football - Go Tampa Bay Bucs!

He loved music, dancing and playing the piano, a gift he received from his mom, and he could play by ear.

Dad had a hilarious sense of humor and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles “to keep his mind sharp.” He spent his days on the computer playing solitaire, listening to new and old favorite songs on Pandora Internet Radio and loved keeping in touch with friends and relatives via e-mail. Dad befriended everyone he met and especially enjoyed his new friends at Pulmonary Rehab.
