OCONOMOWOC - Rebecca Grajewski won one event and took second in the other two, leading Watertown's gymnastics team to its first Wisconsin Little Ten Conference victory of the season in a 117.005 -113.875 win over Oconomowoc Monday.

Grajewski won the vault with an 8.2 score. She took second on the beam with a 7.55 and second on the bars with a 7.3. Her score on floor was 7.45. Those scores gave her the night's all-around title with a score of 30.5.

Nicole Lott had a strong night and was second as an all-around with a score of 29.825. Her individual scores were 7.575 on floor, 7.4 on beam, 6.75 on beam and 8.1 on vault.

Sophomore Mercedes Ryun is getting her feet wet as an All-Around with a score of 26.4 for fifth place as an All-Around. Her scores were 6.2 on Floor, 6.7 on beam, 5.85 on bars and 7.65 on vault.

Senior Haley Schultz's scores were 7.575 on floor, 6.2 on beam and 6.7 on bars.

Kristy Williams scored 7.3 on floor and 7.15 on beam. Erin Caine scored 5.0 on bars and a 7.45 on vault. Tara Walz scored a 7.8 on vault to round out the individual scores for Monday.

“Oconomowoc has one very strong girl on the team, but we were able to overcome her individual scores with the depth we have this year,” Watertown gymnastics coach Charles Fischer said.

“But we have been working hard and gradually improving as a team. The girls need to concentrate on the basics of good form and clean routines without falls or stops. We lost between .25 to a full point on the basics for each girl during the meet.”

Watertown competes at the West Bend Invitational on Saturday.
