Maranatha boys get past Alden-Hebron

HEBRON, Ill. - Maranatha Baptist Academy senior Joel Borchardt scored a season-high 31 points and added 13 rebounds in a 60-56 Indian Trails Conference victory over Alden-Hebron (Ill.) on Monday.
Borchardt scored eight points in the first quarter to help the Crusaders to a 15-9 lead. Maranatha was then outscored 16-10 in the second and the game was tied at the half.
Borchardt then scored six points in the third quarter and added 12 in the fourth, including seven-of-eight free throw shooting, to help the Crusaders pull away. Sophomore Drew DeLozier added 12 points in the victory.
The Crusaders play Thursday at Ethan Allen.
