2 more join race for school board positions

Two Watertown residents have decided to run for one of three positions available on the Watertown school board.

Stephen Phillips, 218 N. Water St., and Jennifer Hepp, 878 Crestview Drive, declared their candidacy and will both be on the April ballot for the board of education.

Three of the nine school board positions are up for election in April. Board members whose terms are set to expire this spring include Dennis Rambo, Mike Kujawski and Kurt Larsen.

Phillips and Hepp join the three incumbents, Rambo, Kujawski and Larsen, as candidates for the three-year school board positions.

Other board members include president Kate Lapin, Ron Buchanan, Stephanie Griggs, Mark Holland, Craig Jensen and Lori Werth.

District residents planning on running for a school board position have until 5 p.m. today to declare candidacy at the Educational Service Center, 111 Dodge St.
