In the state Legislature, state Rep. Steve Nass, R-Whitewater, will face Democrat Frank E. Urban of Dousman in November for the 31st Assembly District.

In the 37th Assembly District, three Republicans filed candidate papers for the September primary. The candidates for the ballot include Kent Koebke of Fort Atkinson, Tom Luetzow of Watertown and Brian A. Peters, also of Watertown. Other county candidates will seek another term unopposed. The incumbents, all Republicans, include County Clerk Barb Frank, Treasurer John Jensen and Register of Deeds Staci Hoffman.

For Dodge County district attorney, Bill Bedker of Watertown who took office last month to replace incumbent Republican Steve Bauer was the only candidate to file for the position.
