In what has become a summer tradition in Watertown, the annual two-day street dance and cruise night will return to the city's downtown area on June 20 and 21.
The festivities will be kicked off June 20 at 6:30 p.m. with collectible cars cruising down East Main Street.
Those interested in cruising should meet at 5:30 p.m. at either Rick's Auto Repair, Hardee's or Sommer's Outdoor Equipment. Motorists are encouraged to park in the North First Street parking lot following the cruise.
For safety reasons all participants are asked to refrain from squealing tires or driving recklessly.
The two-day event will continue with the street dance and other activities on June 20 and June 21 in the North First Street parking lot.
The band 45 RPM will perform on June 20 and John Eske and the Screamin' Nighthawks will be playing on June 21.
There is a $1 cover charge for the both events.
Refreshments will be served by Chalet Restaurant and on Friday the Lucky Clovers 4-H Club will have grilled cheese sandwiches, ice cream cups and string cheese in honor of June Dairy Month.
The tiki bar featuring tropical beverages and wine will be returning this year to give the event a more festive atmosphere, said Susan Dascenzo, Main Street Program director. The beer tent will be serving Budweiser products including Spotted Cow from New Glarus Brewery.
The Main Street Program is partnering with Ace Hardware, Kwik Trip and Glenn's Market and Catering to offer raffle prizes. In addition to the popular 50/50 raffle where the winner receives cash, three $25 gas cards from Kwik Trip will also be raffled off.
Participants may also register to win a Weber gas grill and two dozen brats. The drawing for this prize will be at the Main Street Program's last summer music event on Aug. 16.
