September 24, 2007Wilbur R. EskeWilbur R. Eske, 83, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007, at his home after a brief battle with cancer, with his loving family by his side.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lebanon at 11 a.m. with the Rev. James O'Reilly-Christiansen. Burial will be in Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery.
Friends and relatives may call to pay their respects on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Pederson Funeral Home in Watertown, and on Thursday at the church from 9 a.m. to the time of the service.
Memorials may be directed to the family or your choice of charity.
“Will” was born on Oct. 15, 1923, at the Eske homestead in Lebanon to Carl and Louise (Hackbarth) Eske. Wilbur was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel of Lebanon. He attended Immanuel Lutheran School and graduated from Watertown High School in 1941. Will married Marilyn Chipman on April 22, 1945. They had three children, Cheryl, Robert and John.
In 1975 Will built the Home Plate Inn in Lebanon. It soon became a place of many cherished memories for a lot of people. Dixieland was played every Friday night and on Sundays during Lent, which became a family event. Their fish fries became a hit and they received an award from Milwaukee Magazine for best fish fry.
Will had a great love of baseball. He had the great privilege of being the manager of a talented group of baseball players. He managed the Lebanon A's and won grand championships seven out of eight years in both the Rock River League and the Tri-County Night League, a record that still stands today. He was inducted into the Rock River Players Hall of Fame and given the 2002 Rock Diamond Award.
Will's passion for music knew no bounds. His trombone could be heard playing polkas, waltzes, or Dixieland, etc. He played in the Watertown High School Band, Lebanon Band and the Oconomowoc Legion Band. He then started his own dance band in the late ‘50s, playing for many weddings, anniversaries and parties throughout the state of Wisconsin. He held many offices in the local musician's union.
He was the mistro of the Yankee Dutchmen Solar Powered Precision Marching Band seen all of Wisconsin in parades and taverns. They brought much joy and laughter to all who saw them. He was a staple in the Watertown Fourth of July parade for over 30 years. The band will continue marching for many years to come.
Will was a member and held various offices at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Lebanon, Lebanon Recreation Association, Lebanon Lions Club, and Local Chapter of AARP. He was chairman of Lebanon Town Board. Will was also an honorary member of Lebanon Fire Department and one of their first EMTs. He enjoyed volunteering countless hours to improving Lebanon's parks and playgrounds, especially its baseball diamonds.
He was a carpenter and a cabinet maker. He could build a small cradle for a doll or a large cradle for his grandchildren.
Will leaves behind his loving wife, Marilyn; two sons, Robert (Barbara) Eske, John, and son-in-law, Gerald (Elaine) Baumann. His cherished grandchildren, Kim (Paul) Lang, Patricia Baumann, Sarah (friend Greg) Eske, Krista (Ryan) Schuett, Rebekah Eske, Kayla Eske, and Korey Eske.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Louise Eske; his sister, Helen Eske Stiles; a brother, Harold Eske; and daughter, Cheryl (Eske) Baumann.
He will be fondly remembered for his smiley face, his silly jokes and his many hugs and kisses.
Time for rest Mister Music Man until we meet again.

Isabell D. Heller, 86, of Watertown, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 20, 2007, at Watertown Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at the Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown, with the Rev. Jane Wegner of Watertown Moravian Church presiding. Burial will be at Lutheran Cemetery in Watertown.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorials are suggested to the Watertown Moravian Church or to the charity of ones choice.
Isabell was born on Feb. 6, 1921, in Rome, daughter of the late Herman and Nina (Brunk) Else.
She married Waldemar "Wally" Heller at St. John's Lutheran Church in Watertown. He preceded her in death on July 29, 1999.
Isabell was a 1939 graduate of Watertown High School and had been employed at the former Aunt Nellies Canning Company. She also worked at Easy Wash Laundromat in Watertown, retiring in 2005. She was a member of Watertown Moravian Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed reading.
Isabell is survived by her children, Sharon Heller of Johnson Creek, Douglas (Karen) Heller of Watertown, LeRoy "Whitey" D. (Susan) Heller of Watertown; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a sister, Carol Kohlhoff of Watertown.
She was further preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Bruhn; four sisters, Myrtle Engelbrecht, Esther Langer, Dorothy Ziegelmann, Elinor Turnmire and one brother, Ruben Else.

Robert Luko, 75, of Watertown, formerly of Okauchee, died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2007, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pagenkopf Funeral Home, 1165 Summit Ave., Oconomowoc. Burial will be in LaBelle Cemetery in Oconomowoc.

He was born April 21, 1932, in Okauchee, the son of Henry F. and Florence (Buelow) Luko. He married Jean E. Kreil on April 28, 1956, in Okauchee. He worked at Gredy Foundry, Gold Sanitation Company, and later part-time at Kmart in Oconomowoc. He was a 39-year member of the Okauchee Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife, Jean; a brother, Henry O. Luko of Oconomowoc; two brothers-in-law, James (Colleen) Kreil of Dousman and John (Nancy) Kreil of the town of Delafield; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews, great-great-niece, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a niece; sister-in-law Clara Luko; mother-in-law and father-in-law James and Ellen Kriel Sr.

JEFFERSON - Helene M. Noble, 90, of Jefferson, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007, at Fort Memorial Hospital.
She was born on Feb. 15, 1917, in Hartford, daughter of the late Adolph and Josephine (Nussbaum) Deutsch. She married Harold F. Noble on Aug. 20, 1938, at St. Killen's Catholic Church in Hartford. He preceded her in death on Oct. 9, 1990.
Helene was a full-time wife, mother and grandmother. Through the years she worked part-time at St. Coletta's and Ley's Furniture and Appliance. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jefferson.
She is survived by three daughters, Maureen (Rich) Schocker of Jefferson, Peg (Dean) Beyer of Jefferson and Mary (Dan) Emerick of Jefferson; two sons; Michael (Grace) Noble of Ocala, Fla., and Tim (JoAnne) Noble of Hartford; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters; Ceil Reagan of Whitewater, Irene Hobein of Hazelhurst and Rita Ann (Earl) Bauer of Dallas, Texas; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was also preceded in death by one son, John Patrick Noble; an infant daughter, Ann Mary; one brother, Oscar Deutsch; and one sister, Catherine Jaeger.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at noon on Wednesday at St. John the Baptist Church in Jefferson with the Rev. Thomas Coyle officiating. Burial will follow the Mass at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home in Jefferson and then again on Wednesday at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of Mass.

Milo B. Sterr
NEOSHO - Milo Sterr, of Neosho, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007 at the Aurora Medical Center in Hartford. He was 72 years old.
He was born on March 11, 1935, in the town of Lebanon, to Michael and Minnie (Hundt) Sterr. He married Elaine Sellinger on May 23, 1964, at Peace Lutheran Church in Hartford.
Milo took over the family dairy farm at the age of 14. He owned and operated Milo Sterr Trucking for 43 years. He was a great supporter of local FFA's, 4-H's and the county fairs meat and animal sales, which promotes agricultures future. In his younger years he was widely know at local fireman's picnics for his wrestling entertainment. Milo was a well-known and respected man in his community. He touched the lives of hundreds of people over his lifetime. He will be deeply missed by all his many friends and family.
Milo is survived by his wife, Elaine, of 43 years; his children, Jacklin (Daniel) Leischer of Lebanon, and Penni (Thomas) Nickels of Watertown, and Scott and Michael Sterr, both of Neosho; his grandchildren, Benjamin and Carissa Leischer, Kelsey and Ryan Wille, Dawson and Kylie Nickels; a sister, Elda Tietz of Watertown; his sister-in-law, Laverna Sterr of Oconomowoc; his brothers-in-law, DuWayne Sellinger of Hartford, Norbert Fredrick of Oconomowoc, and Roland Voigt of Ashippun. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son in infancy, Jeff; a daughter, Jane Wille; two brothers, Ervin and Melvin Sterr; his sisters, Wolga Schreier, Clara Fredrick and Edna Voigt.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday 8 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home, 824 Union St., Hartford, with Rev. Ricky Schroeder officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends on Tuesday from 3 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the SIDS Foundation, Juvenile Diabetes Association or the charity of one's choice appreciated.

Andrew Sherfinski
Andrew J. Sherfinski, 92, of Waukesha and formerly of Watertown, passed away on Sunday at the Virginia Nursing Home in Waukesha.
Andrew was born on April 7, 1915, in Brokaw, the son of John and Marciana (Zuiwicky) Sherfinski. He married the former Clara Woyak on June 21, 1936, and she preceded him in death on Jan. 13, 1988.
Andrew served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Philippines. Andrew had been a printer with R. R. Donnelley & Sons in Chicago. He was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church and he enjoyed woodworking, art and music.
Survivors include his children, Kenneth (Virginia) Sherfinski of Hartland, Robert Sherfinski of Las Vegas, Nev., Diane (Jim) Graham of Waukesha, and Fay (Bob) Custer of Waukesha; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Andrew was further preceded in death by his son, Lee Sherfinski; his parents; two brothers; and two sisters.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Henry Catholic Church, 400 N. Fourth St., Watertown, with Father Bernard Rott officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery with military graveside rites by the Watertown Veterans Council.

Marion Doris Schroeder, 80, of Watertown, passed away on Thursday afternoon, Sept. 20, 2007, at her home.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Watertown with the Rev. Terry Larson officiating. Burial will be in Glenview Memorial Gardens, Ixonia.
Visitation will be held at the Hafemeister Funeral Home on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. and at the church Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

The former Marion D. Bleecker was born on April 20, 1927, in Milford, daughter of William and Doris (Marquardt) Bleecker. On Feb. 3, 1946, she married Chester A. Schroeder at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Watertown. He preceded her in death on Nov. 17, 1984.
Marion had been employed at Johnson Controls from 1963 until her retirement in 1994. She was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she was very involved with quilting. Marion loved spending time with and taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting, jigsaw puzzles, and flower gardening.

HUSTISFORD - Gertrude Hazel Martha Thom of Hustisford passed away at the Mayville Nursing Home on Thursday, Sept. 20, 2007, at the age of 100 years, 11 months and 26 days.
She was born Sept. 25, 1906, daughter of Carl and Lena (Winkelman) Dummer. Gertrude married Edwin C. Thom on May 2, 1925. They were married for 40 years until Edwin's passing. She worked as a cook at Hustisford High School for 33 years, retiring in 1980.
Gertrude was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church for over 70 years. She had jobs at a canning factory in town and at Henkel Plastics Mfg. She was a wonderful homemaker and a Legion Auxiliary member for 52 years. Gertrude loved to fish, cook, and crochet.
Gertrude is preceded in death by her husband Edwin C. Thom, five brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her son, Walter (Lucille) Thom of Tomahawk; her daughter, Pearl (Franklin) Nehls of Hustisford; seven grandchildren, Pamela (Mark) West-phal, Sandra (Don) Held, Trina (Dwight) Stange, Sarah (Mark) Wallace, Troy (Theresa) Thom, Todd (Lornita) Thom and Trent Thom; 13 great-grandchildren, Michelle Klett, Thomas Burgess, Michael Westphal, Gary Held, Corey Held, Karin Hug, Katie Stange, Samantha Stange, Travis Thom, Katrina Banashak, Todd Thom II, Lialaine Thom and Ivan Thom; and 11 great-great-grandchildren, Connor, Emily, Madalyn, Benjamin, Jacob, Grady, Matthew, Michaela, Grace, Jimmy and Bobby.

Gladys was born in Cumberland County, Va., on July 5, 1922, daughter of the late John and Sadie (Jamison) Daniels. She married Galen Brandt in New Cumberland, Pa. He preceded her in death.
Gladys had been employed by the former Musebeck Shoe Company in Oconomowoc and at Bethesda Lutheran Home in Watertown. She enjoyed reading and cooking.
Gladys was a loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by four children: Albert (Sandra) Heine of Oconomowoc, Warren (Nancy) Heine of Watertown, Jeanie (James) Clark of Watertown and Judy (Duane) Stelter of Oconomowoc; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; her nephews, Charles Bell and Amond Bell, both of New Cumberland; other relatives and friends.

Percy H.O. West, 95, of Watertown, died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007, at Watertown Memorial Hospital.
Percy was born Nov. 28, 1911, in Watertown, son of Peter and Ida (Koch) West. He married Mena Berkvam on June 22, 1935, in Bonnet Prairie.
Percy worked as a maltster at Ladish Malt in Jefferson for 30 years, retiring in 1975. He also worked as a security guard for Badger Ordinance Works and was also a harness maker. Percy was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Watertown.
Survivors include a daughter, Marjorie (Don) Reichardt of Watertown; two sons, Donald (Marlene) West of Watertown and Dick (Kay) West of Delavan; six grandchildren, Todd (Chris) Reichardt, Sue (Kelly) Pochop, Lea (Charles) Fisher, Andrew (Gerren) West, Aaron and James F. West; nine great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; seven brothers; four sisters; and his son and daughter-in-law, James P. (Christine) West.

OCONOMOWOC - Leona M. Uhlman, 98, of Oconomowoc, formerly of Watertown, died Monday, Sept. 17, 2007, at Golden Living Center in Watertown.
Funeral services will be held at noon Friday at St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 818 W. Wisconsin Ave., Oconomowoc, with the Rev. Jonathan Schultz officiating. Burial will be in Harshaw Town Cemetery in Harshaw.

She was born Dec. 23, 1908, in Ashippun, the daughter of Emil and Martha (Berger) Werth. On May 10, 1930, she married Ervin Uhlman. He preceded her in death. Leona attended grade school in the Ashippun area. After her marriage of 54 years to Ervin, they lived in various locations around Wisconsin including Watertown, Reeseville, Oconomo-woc, Sun Prairie, Marshfield, Beaver Dam and Harshaw. After being widowed, she returned to the area of her childhood and resided in Oconomowoc and most recently at Golden Living Center in Watertown. She loved to bake. Her favorite meal was roast beef, mashed potatoes, gravy, peas, dill pickles and apple pie. She was a semi-pro “go-cart driver.” She liked to play “putt-putt” golf and she was good. She loved to play 500 card game, watch some shows on television and she had a wonderful sense of humor.
She was a member of St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church and former member of Parkland Commons Social Club.
Survivors include her children, Dorothy (Roger) Aschebrook of Marshfield, Lila (Marvel) Detlaff of Durand, Betty (Frank) Butts of Beaver Dam, Ervin Uhlman of Champaign, Ill., and Ken (Karen) Uhlman of Logan, Iowa; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 27 great-great-grandchildren; numerous step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Erna Heyman of Lakewood, Colo.; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Werth of Oconomowoc; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was further preceded in death by a sister, Frieda Koeltzow, brothers Fred, Ewald, Martin, Leonard and Elmer.

Ferne Anderson
WEST BEND - Ferne M. (Robbins) Anderson, 71, of West Bend, found peace on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007.
She is survived by her daughters, Deborah (David Saint Laurent) Anderson of Willingham, England, Catherine Anderson of Appleton and Shari (Thomas) Myers of Menomonee Falls; sisters, Doris (Don) Wilke of Waterloo and Juanita (Frederick) Ehrke of Deerfield; grandchildren, Michael Roche, Bridget Miller, Laura Myers, Tim Miller and Kelly Miller; nieces, nephews and other loving family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred E. and Linda A. Robbins; her brother, Alfred Robbins; her dear companion, Les Johnson; her former husband, Charles F. Anderson; and many cherished feline companions over the years who are greeting her now with purrs and “kisses.”
Ferne was born Nov. 20, 1935, in Waterloo. After graduating from Watertown High School in 1952, she attended St. Therese Nursing School in Glenview, Ill. Ferne met her future husband in Glenview when he was stationed at Great Lakes Naval Academy. They married in 1956 and lived in the Chicago area until their divorce in 1971. Ferne and her daughters then moved to the Milwaukee area where she worked as a registered nurse in nursing homes and as a home healthcare provider. She retired in 1990 and later moved to West Bend.
Ferne was a very intelligent, gentle, kind and tolerant person. She had a great sense of humor and a beautiful smile even in the face of adversity. She loved animals, especially cats, and left a generous bequest to the Humane Society of the United States upon her death.
A memorial service will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral and Cremation Service in Menomonee Falls. Visitation is Friday from 1 p.m. until time of the service.

Helmuth C. Ittner
Helmuth “Moxie” C. Ittner, 83, of Watertown, formerly of Oconomowoc, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007, at Golden Living Center in Watertown.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, at the Pagenkopf Funeral Home, 1165 Summit Ave. (Highway 67), Oconomowoc, with the Rev. Karen Natterstad. Burial will be in Glenview Memorial Gardens, Ixonia.
Visitation is at the funeral home on Wednesday, Sept. 26, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Helmuth was born Feb. 2, 1924, in Milwaukee, son of Carl and Maria (Matschull) Ittner. He married the former Jean Matheson on Oct. 1, 1950, in Oconomowoc. He was a 1943 graduate of Oconomowoc High School and served in the United States Marines in the South Pacific Theatre during World War II. He received the Purple Heart.
Helmuth was a stone and brick mason and member of the Milwaukee Stone and Brick Mason Local No. 8 for 35 years. He was a former member and past president of the Oconomowoc Kiwanis Club and a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2260 of Oconomowoc.
Helmuth had been named to the Oconomowoc Bowling Hall of Fame and was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church of Oconomowoc and Concept Therapy Association of Texas. He was a former member of the Paganica Golf Club and Lac La Belle Golf Club. He was active in the Land O' Lakes Baseball League as a manager and umpire.
Surviving are his grandchildren, Christopher, Matthew and Stephanie; a sister, Alicia Walter of California; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Ittner of Ixonia; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

OCONOMOWOC - Josephine L. Olson, 96, of Oconomowoc, died Friday, Sept. 14, 2007, at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Jerome Catholic Church with Father John Yockey officiating. A memorial visitation will be held Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. She will be cremated.
Memorials can be made to the St. Jerome building fund.
Josephine was born Nov. 30, 1910, in Hartland, the daughter of Joseph and Ida (Scheppa) Froelich. She married Algy Olson.
Josephine was a bookkeeper for Notbohm Funiture. She attended college at St. Teresa in Winona, Minn., and the Milwaukee Conservatory of Music. She also taught piano. She was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church.
Survivors include her children, Terry Olson, of Idaho; Tom (Marilyn) Olson, of Ixonia; and Tim (Anne Marie) Olson, of Oconomowoc; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband.

WATERLOO - Kenneth E. Nannenhorn, 71, of Waterloo, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007.
He was born on Oct. 20, 1935, in Evanston, Ill. He remained in the Chicago area and worked as a store manager for Walgreen's Drug stores until he moved to the Milwaukee area in 1971 where he began work as a general manager for Burger King Corporation.
Ken always had a deep love and respect for cars, which lead to a lifelong hobby of restoring antique cars and building custom street rods. His prized car was the 1926 Model T, custom street rod, the “King's Coupe”, which won the title of International Grande Champion in the 1978-79' ISCA car show circuit.
He is survived by his children, Ken, of Reno, Nev.; Mike, of Escondido, Calif.; Paul, of Escondido; Mark, of Alpharetta, Ga.; and Karie Rawles, of Fort Myers, Fla.; and grandchildren, Ashley, Chance, Abigail and Nicole. He is also survived by his brother, Marvin; dear family friends, the Weiherts; as well as other relative and friends.
He is preceded in death by his beloved sisters, Vivian Nickel and Patricia Corrigan.
He will be deeply missed and remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Pederson Funeral Home, Waterloo.

Mary Sophie Aschenbrenner, 72, of Watertown, passed from this life into eternal life on Friday, Sept. 14, 2007, after a five year courageous struggle with cancer.
Mary was born on Feb. 1, 1935, in Techney, Ill., daughter of German immigrant parents, Joseph and Sophie (Holmer) Aschenbrenner. Her parents later settled in Watertown where Mary was raised and attended St. Henry's Elementary School. She also attended St. Clara Academy in Sinsinawa, Edgewood College in Madison and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Mary worked for a number of years in state service in Madison for the attorney general's office and in the office of former Gov. John Reynolds.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her brothers, John (Jane) Aschenbrenner and Joe (Patricia) Aschenbrenner, both of Watertown; a sister, Tillie (John) Mulady of San Antonio, Texas; nine nieces and nephews, as well as one grandniece and two grandnephews.
A memorial Mass of the Resurrection to celebrate Mary's life will be held on Sunday at 4 p.m. in Marquardt Memorial Manor Chapel with Father Bernard Rott officiating. Family burial will be held in St. Bernard's Cemetery.

Elizabeth Lydia Hempel, 88, of Watertown, passed away Monday afternoon, Sept. 10, 2007, at Golden Living Center in Watertown.
The former Elizabeth Lydia Kleemann was born on July 23, 1919, in Watertown, daughter of Ferdinand and Elizabeth (Hannem) Kleemann. On Dec. 4, 1942, she married the Rev. Harold Albert Hempel at Trinity Lutheran Church in Watertown. He preceded her in death on Feb. 17, 1998.
Elizabeth attended St. Mark's Lutheran Grade School in Watertown and was a 1937 graduate of Watertown High School. She was then employed at the Watertown Telephone Co. until her marriage. Elizabeth was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Watertown where she had been a Sunday school teacher.
Survivors include three children, Dawn (Charles) Fiedler of Richardson, Texas, Philip (Cheryl) Hempel of St. Clair, Mich., and Mary Sue (Tom) Nouy of Tempe, Ariz.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Elizabeth was the last member of her immediate family. She was further preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Lillian Kleemann and Hildegard Reuschel; and a brother, Chester Kleemann.
A graveside service will be held on Friday at 9:30 a.m. in Oak Hill Cemetery, Watertown, with the Rev. Brett Brauer of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating.

Harold A. Otto, 93, a resident at Marquardt Memorial Manor in Watertown, died on Friday, Sept. 14, 2007, at Watertown Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oconomowoc with the Rev. Jonathan Schultz presiding. Burial will be in Glenview Memorial Gardens, Ixonia.

Harold was born on Feb. 13, 1914, in the town of Rubicon, son of the late William and Emma (Wittnebel) Otto.
On June 19, 1937, he married Norma I. Lindert at St. John's Lutheran Church in Ashippun.
Harold and Norma were longtime residents of Oconomowoc before moving to Watertown. He had been employed as a custodian at Oconomowoc High School, First National Bank of Oconomowoc and at the Oconomowoc Public Library. He was a member of St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oconomowoc.
Surviving are his beloved wife, Norma Otto of Watertown; a niece, Avis Jabs of Sun Prairie; nephews, Gordon Zimmerman and Roy Lindert, both of Oconomowoc, Meinert Otto of Horicon and Roger Schuett of Watertown; other relatives and friends.

HUSTISFORD - Donald A. Kienast of Hustisford passed away surrounded by his loving family at his home on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, at the age of 82 years.
He was born on June 13, 1925, in Hustisford, son of Albert and Lena (Affeldt) Kienast. He married Esther Rehse on Oct. 13, 1946, in Hustisford.
He is survived by his wife, Esther (Rehse) Kienast; his daughters, Candice (Randy) Roeseler of Juneau and Karen (Randy) Thom of Juneau; his son, Kevin Kienast of Sun Prairie; his grandsons, Nicholas and Nathan Kienast; his great-granddaughter, Krystal Kienast; other relatives and friends.
Donald and Esther operated Kienast's Meat Market in Hustisford until their retirement in 1988. As a teenager he began to work in the family's meat market, and after World War II, he took on more responsibilities in its operation. He served as fire chief for the village of Hustisford in the 1950s and served on the village board.
Donald was a 50-year member of American Legion Post No. 420. He proudly served his country overseas in the Army during World War II. He was stationed in the Philippine Islands and later was a member of the occupational forces assigned to Japan. During his tenure in the Army, Donald received (among others) the Bronze Star, Infantry Campaign Medal with two battle stars and arrowheads, and an occupational medal.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hustisford and on Wednesday from 9 to 11 a.m. The service will follow at the church Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Timothy Bauer and the Rev. David Pries officiating. Interment will be in Hustisford Cemetery. Military graveside service will be held by the Hustisford American Legion Post No. 420.

LAKE MILLS - Geraldine E. Finder, 83, of Lake Mills, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007.
Geraldine was born on Sept. 10, 1924, the daughter of August and Anna (Lange) Homan. She graduated from Waterloo High School in 1941. She was employed by the State Department of Veterans Affairs before her marriage in 1953 to Lester H. Finder.
She and her husband celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in June 2003. A year later, her husband preceded her in death on July 12, 2004.
Geraldine is survived by her sisters, Lorraine (Stanley) DuRose, Barbara Abendroth and Jane (James) DuBois; her brothers, Robert (Ruth) Homan and Roger (Colleen) Homan; and many other relatives. Very special to her were her nieces and nephews and their children.
Funeral services will be held at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waterloo on Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Thomas Wilsmann officiating. Burial will follow the service in Oak Hill Cemetery.

FORT ATKINSON - Martin E. Fredericks, 61, of Fort Atkinson, formerly of Lake Mills, died on Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2007, at Fort Memorial Hospital.
“Marty” was born on July 26, 1946, in Beloit, son of the late Woodrow “Woody” and Marian (Rau) Fredericks.
He spent his early life attending the School of Hope in Rockford, Ill., and participated in a sheltered workshop employment opportunity there until the age of 25.
In 1970 he moved with his parents to their summer home in Lake Mills on Rock Lake.
Marty loved “lake living” and would take three walks and two swims each day during the summer months.
He had been employed at Opportunities, Inc. of Fort Atkinson.
He loved boating and fishing with his parents, reading his TV Guide, and watching the Lawrence Welk show.
Marty presently lived at Graf's Pleasantview Home in Fort Atkinson where he enjoyed spending time with his roommate Dan and being a member of Golden Options.
He was the last member of his immediate family.
Graveside services will be held following a time of remembrance at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday in Rock Lake Cemetery.
If desired, memorials may be made to First Congregational United Church of Christ in Lake Mills or the Rockford School of Hope.

JEFFERSON - Kathryn A. Roth, 65, of Jefferson, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 13, 2007, at Fort Memorial Hospital.
She was born on March 28, 1942, in Fort Atkinson, daughter of the late Richard and Virginia (Ree) Noel. She married Robert Roth on Nov. 8, 1975, at St. James Lutheran Church in Cambridge.
Kathryn was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jefferson and a former member of St. James Lutheran Church in Cambridge.
Kathy drove the special education school bus for many years, and then drove bus for Jefferson County Head Start Program. She was a member of the class of 1960. She loved to cook and play Scrabble. She volunteered at St. Vincent DePaul in Jefferson.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to spend time with family and friends, and she had a special love for her dogs.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Roth of Jefferson; two daughters, Terri (Chuck) Gottschalk of Jefferson and Patti (Joe) Schrantz of Redford, Va.; a son, David (Denise) Lange of Jefferson; six grandchildren, Michele, Robert, Christopher, Evan, Bryan, A.J.; three great-grandchildren, Dylan, Xavier, Avrey.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack and Gerald Noel.

Harvey attended St. Stephen's Lutheran Grade School and was a lifetime member of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church in Concord. He had been employed at the former Hevi-Duty Co. in Watertown as a truck driver and in maintenance at Ira L. Henry Company, also in Watertown, until his retirement. He loved to mow lawn and play cards.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Dorn; a daughter, Mary Kay (Steven) Pupak of Watertown; two sons, Randall Dorn and Michael Dorn, both of Watertown; two grandchildren, Nathanial Dorn and Dustin Zwieg; three sisters, Dorothy Sukow of Watertown, Margaret Jaeger of Mesa, Ariz., and Ruth Ann (Ralph) Christian of Concord; four brothers, Donald (Joyce) Dorn of Watertown, Floyd (Violet) Dorn of Watertown, Elroy (Janet) Dorn of Jefferson and Leon (Shirley) Dorn of Helenville; a sister-in-law, Marion Sell of Watertown; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

WATERLOO - Lorentsa M. Roder, 89, of Waterloo, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007, at Golden Living Center-Watertown.
Lorentsa was born on Aug. 17, 1918, in River Falls, daughter of Theodore and Amalia (Forsmo) Wilkins. She was a 1937 graduate of West High in Madison and a 1939 graduate of Wisconsin Academy of Beauty Culture.
Lorentsa married Norman Roder on June 21, 1945, at Vermont Lutheran Church in Black Earth. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Waterloo and worked as a beautician throughout the years.
Lorentsa enjoyed quilting, sewing, needlecraft and traveling with her husband for Army reunions. She loved making garments for her children and her grandchildren. She also loved spending time with her family and friends and she will be greatly missed by all.
Survivors include her husband, Norman of Waterloo; children, Janell (Charlie) Decker of Waterloo and Bill (Jean) Roder of Crandon; three grandchildren, Teddy (Jody) Decker, Crystal Decker and Jenae Roder; two great-grandchildren, Brandon and Caiden; two sisters, Ardis (Martin) Peterson of Middleton and Thelma (Alva) Kempfer of Gainesville, Fla. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Joe attended Watertown High School and was a member of the United States Air Force from 1962 to 1965. He was a roofer for Nations Roofing of Waukesha.
Joe had a close relationship with God, saying, “You only had to listen and God spoke.” He loved being outdoors, farming, family and sharing life stories.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Thomas J. ‘Tonto' Senn, 58, passed away Sept. 5, 2007, in Jacksonville.
Tom was born in La Crosse, Wis. He drove truck 20 years for Sheehy Mail Contractors prior to moving to Florida in 1998 where he continued to drive truck for Trend Offset Printing.

Robert L. Nehls
JUNEAU - Robert L. Nehls of Juneau passed away suddenly at his home on Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007, at the age of 47 years.
He was born in Beaver Dam on Oct. 30, 1959, son of Willard and Dorothy (Kamm) Nehls. He married Robin Jorns on July 11, 1992, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Woodland.
Bob was preceded in death by his father, Willard, on Feb. 20, 1975. He is survived by his wife, Robin (Jorns) of Juneau; his daughter, Nicole; his mother, Dorothy (Glen) Knaup of Beaver Dam; his brother, Gregory Nehls of Beaver Dam; his sister, Lynann Nehls of North Carolina; and his brother, Royce (Diane Goodrich) Nehls of Beaver Dam. Bob was the dear uncle of David and Ryan Nehls and Shana and Krista Nehls Bogenschneider. He is also survived by uncles, aunts, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Bob was one of the co-owners of the Nehls Brothers Farms Ltd. and farmed his entire life. He was a graduate of the Farm and Industry short course at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He enjoyed NASCAR races and watching the Green Bay Packers. He was a lifetime member of the Juneau Rod and Gun Club and a lifetime member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Visitation will take place today at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Juneau from 4 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 to 11 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with the Pastor Paul Hirsch officiating. Interment will be in Juneau City Cemetery.
Memorials to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church would be appreciated.

OCONOMOWOC - Ruth Mildred Hein, 98, of Oconomowoc, died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2007, at Marquardt Memorial Manor in Watertown.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Bethany Chapel at Marquardt Memorial Manor.

The former Ruth Rabenhorst was born Sept. 19, 1908, in the town of Sullivan, daughter of Benjamin and L. May (Alttweis) Rabenhorst. She married William C. Hein on June 25, 1927.
Ruth had taught for five years in Jefferson and Dodge counties. She was a 1925 graduate of Jefferson High School with a teaching certificate. She was a life member of United Methodist Women and member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Oconomowoc.
Surviving are her children, Pearl Mary Goetsch, John (Darlene) Hein and Arnold (Cheryl) Hein; her grandchildren, Perry (Barb) Goetsch, Gayle (Jim) Praschak, Kris Goetsch and Shane Hein; stepgrandchildren, Andy (Sherry) Chesak and Tony (Missy) Chesak; two great-grandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; and four sisters, Caroline White, Rose Goetsch, Shirley Tiedjens and Alice Rabenhorst.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William in 1993; a sister, Frances Ludeman; and brothers, Harold and Walter.

OXFORD - Hildegard Masche, 87, of Oxford and Beaver Dam, died on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, at University Hospitals in Madison.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Zeidler Funeral Home in Columbus with the Rev. Tom Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Columbus.
Visitation is planned on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
The former Hildegard Wahl was born Aug. 22, 1920, in Watertown, daughter of Edward and Helen (Tietz) Wahl. She married Willmer Krueger, who preceded her in death in 1957. On Sept. 3, 1966, she married Clarence Masche in Waterloo. He also preceded her in death in 1984.
Hildegard had been employed at River Edge Resort in Wisconsin Dells. She was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waterloo. She enjoyed the people at River Edge Resort and scenic drives.
She is survived by a brother, Hilmer (Fay) Wahl of Beaver Dam; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was further preceded in death by her parents; a stepdaughter, Jeanette Fedkenheuer; two brothers, Ervin and Fred; and two sisters, Adeline and Erna.

WATERLOO - Irene E. Battist, 88, of Waterloo, died on Sunday, Sept. 9, 2007, at her home unexpectedly.

The former Irene Lundstrom was born June 26, 1919, in Ogema, daughter of Oscar and Ellen (Lundgren) Lundstrom. She married Charles Battist on July 8, 1943, in St. Louis, Mo.
Irene had been a laborer at J.G. Van Holten & Son Inc. in Waterloo for 35 years, retiring in 1999. She was a graduate of Phillips High School in Phillips and a member of Waterloo United Methodist Church and its afternoon circle. She was a loving mother and grandmother, who loved playing cards and spending time with her family.
Surviving are two sons, Douglas Battist and Daniel (Nancy) Battist, both of Madison; three grandchildren, Ryan, Molly and Emmy Battist, all of Madison; a sister, Lorraine Tillman of Ogema; two sisters-in-law, Leone Niebler of Jefferson and Marion Kozma of Seminole, Fla.; a brother-in-law, Eugene Battist of Harshaw; a number of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband on April 15, 1989; her parents; a brother, Raymond; and two sisters, Mable McAuley and Evelyn Madelung.

Regina “Reggie” Ruth King, 69, of Watertown passed away Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007, at her home, surrounded by family.
Reggie was born March 5, 1938, in Watertown, daughter of Arnold and Sophia (Krueger) Lenius. Reggie graduated from Watertown High School in 1956. She married Gerald King in 1960 and later married Walter Bully in 1973.
In addition to being self-employed for many years, Reggie was also employed at Aunt Nellie's Foods in Clyman and Truth Hardware in Owattana, Minn. She had a passion for cooking, making crafts and spending time with her many friends and family.
Reggie is survived by her four children, Michele (Elroy) Maas of Watertown, Diane (Larry) Frisbie of Fairbault, Minn., Steven (Donna) King of Watertown and Jeffrey King of Watertown; seven grandchildren, Lindsay, Zachary and Jeremy Maas, Brad and Kaycee Bocher, Nathan Peterson and Travis King. She is also survived by one brother, Arnold Lenius of Sarasota, Fla.; a sister, Rachael Strauss of Waterloo; sisters-in-law, Caroline Len-ius of Watertown and Mary Griffin of Madison; one brother-in-law, James King of Brownsburg, Ind.; her special angel, Burmaa Otgon of Mongolia; and her favorite pets, Buddy and Tinkerbelle.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Immanuel “Sonny” and Phillip Lenius; and two nephews, Roger and Daniel Lenius.

Adelle E. Walling, 100, of Watertown, passed away Wednesday morning, Sept. 5, 2007, at Marquardt Memorial Manor.

Adelle was born May 12, 1907, in Watertown, daughter of the late Gustav and Bertha (Heiden) Erdmann. She attended Lincoln Grade School and was a 1925 graduate of Watertown High School. On Feb. 6, 1932, she married Bernard Richter at St. Henry's Catholic Church in Watertown. They lived in Watertown while Adelle worked in the office of the former G.B. Lewis Company. She accompanied her husband during his military career to Walla Walla, Wash., where she was a nurse's aide in the Volunteer Special Services Unit of the American Red Cross. Bernard and Adelle also lived in Manitowoc and Eau Claire where she worked for the court system. He preceded her in death on Dec. 6, 1966.
On Nov. 5, 1967, she married Dr. Ronald D. Walling at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Baraboo. They moved to McAllen, Texas, in 1977 and shared interests of golf, bridge, crossword puzzles and travel, which provided many happy memories during their retirement years. He preceded her in death on May 12, 2003, at the age of 101. Adelle then returned to her native Watertown.
She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, the Ladies of the Elks and American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 189, all in Watertown. She enjoyed bowling and was the first secretary of the Watertown Women's Bowling Association in 1937. Adelle was a master bridge player and in 1992, she received a Life Master Certificate from the American Contract Bridge League. Her golf career, which began at the Watertown Country Club, earned her many club championships (Watertown 1946). In recent years, she enjoyed golfing with her nephew, Larry Erdmann, and her niece, Debbie Bortz.
Adelle enjoyed many activities, but her favorite was painting, which she began in 1979. She was an accomplished artist. Her paintings of flowers, nature and landscape are especially treasured by her relatives. She also enjoyed pencil sketches.
Adelle is survived by a stepson, Garth (Esther) Walling of Neenah; stepgranddaughters, Nicole (Bill) Smith of Neenah and Nancy Walling of Nichols; a stepgrandson, Scott (Heather) Neitz of Racine; four stepgreat-grandchildren, Michelle Perket, Ryan Perket, JT Rau and Pieper Grace Neitz; a sister-in-law, Gertrude Erdmann of Elkhorn; caregivers, Nancy (Michael) Klinger of Watertown; other nieces, nephews and special friends, Bill and Phyllis Schmidt of Watertown.
She was further preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Helen Kay (Walling) Neitz; three brothers, Carl, Ray-mond and George Erdmann; and three sisters, Irma Gritzner, Leona Heiden and Mildred Tessmann.

WATERLOO - Vernon G. Counsell, 77, of Waterloo, passed away on Tuesday Sept. 4, 2007, at his home following a hard battle with cancer.
Vernon was born on Jan. 11, 1930, in Mapleton, son of Earl and Louise Counsell. He married Charlotte Pliemi-tscher on April 7, 1956. Vernon served in the United States Army from 1952 to 1954 during the Korean War. He was a member of the Marshall American Legion Post and the 40et8. He farmed for 36 years and then he was employed by the Danco F/S. He loved doing woodworking and gardening.
Vernon is survived by his wife, Charlotte of Waterloo; their children, Janet (Dave) Evans of Tellico Plains, Tenn., Connie (Brian) Mosher of Waunakee and Kevin (Angie) Counsell of Oregon; a daughter-in-law, Angeline Counsell of Elkorn; six grandchildren, Eva, Michele and Sarah Counsell, Samantha and Kenny Evans and Nathan Mosher; a brother, Nic (Pat) Counsell of Ixonia; a sister, Mardene (Dean) Luck of Oconomowoc; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Charles and Glenn Counsell; and a grandson, Cedric Evans.

Nellie E. Ruehlow, 95, of Watertown, passed away Sunday, Sept. 2, 2007, surrounded by her family, at Watertown Memorial Hospital, following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Watertown with the Rev. John Boehringer officiating. Burial will be in Glenview Memorial Gardens, Ixonia.

Nellie was born in the town of York on Jan. 23, 1912, daughter of the late Albert and Mathilda (Fischer) Meyer.
On Nov. 4, 1939, she married Frederick Borchardt at St. John's Lutheran Church in Waterloo. He preceded her in death on May 13, 1963. She married Ortwin Ruehlow on Aug. 12, 1966, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Watertown. He preceded her in death on Sept. 20, 1980.
Nellie was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Watertown and its ladies aid. She was also a member of the Plattdeutsch-er Auxiliary, AARP and the Watertown Senior Center. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, playing cards and jigsaw puzzles. Nellie loved spending time with her family and friends.

HALES CORNERS - Margaret (Huebel) Kuchen-reuther, 91, of Tudor Oaks Health Center in Muskego, formerly of Watertown, reunited with her loving husband, Leroy, on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007.
She was the loving mother of Lawrence (the late Frances) and Nancy (Clarence) Osten and the proud grandma of Rebecca (James) Rehak, Shella, Scott, Kevin and Jason, Michelle) Osten. She was the great-grandma of Jacob, Joshua, Jordan, Brianne, Madeline and Jackson.
She will be missed by her twin sister, Frieda Timm, and is further survived by nieces, nephews and friends.

WEST BEND - Michael G. Kaul, 56, of West Bend, passed away Monday, Sept. 3, 2007, at his residence.
He was born on March 19, 1951, in Watertown, son of the late Leonard and Helen (Koehler) Kaul. He lived with his family on a farm north of Ixonia and graduated from Oconomowoc High School in the class of 1969.
Mike lived in the Ixonia area until moving to West Bend in 1976. He worked as a drywaller for several companies, and at the time of his death was a drywall supervisor for Winghart Inc. in Milwaukee.
Mike was an avid hunter and a member of Ducks Unlimited. He was also an active volunteer for Jam for Kids and Special Olympics.
He is survived by a daughter, Michelle (Jon) Berndt of New Lisbon; a grandson, Marquis Berndt; a sister, Susan Kaul of Ixonia; especially loved fiancée, Mary Fiegel of West Bend; three aunts, Mercedes (Robert) Barry of Lone Rock, Evelyn Kaul of Dodgeville and Esther Kaul of Hillpoint; an uncle, Francis Koehler of East Troy; many cousins, other relatives and friends.
A Mass of Christian burial in memory of Michael will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Mapleton with the Rev. David Verhasselt as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Catherine's Cemetery.

Robert E. Lillge Sr.
Robert E. Lillge Sr., 79, went to his heavenly home on Sunday, Aug. 26, 2007, in Orlando, Fla.
He was born Jan. 8, 1928, in Hartford, son of Ernest and Adella (Luebke) Lillge. During World War II, he wanted to do his part so he joined the Navy on Jan. 2, 1945. He served in the Mediterranean, Korea and Vietnam campaigns and retired with a rating of GMGC. The next step of his journey brought him back to Wisconsin where he owned and operated an advertising business, Ocono-mowoc Sign Company, for many years.
Bob served as commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2260 of Oconomowoc from 1974 to 1977 and was also a member of American Legion Post No. 91, Fleet Reserve Unit No. 147 and the Retired Enlisted Association.
Bob married Della “Dell” Thamke and they were blessed with two loving children, Robert Lillge Jr. (Billie Sue) of Ledyard, Conn., and Gail (Larry) Gaugert of Watertown.
The Lillges moved to Orlando in 1978 and he worked at the Navy Exchange for 23 years. He was named Employee of the Year at the Florida Exchange in 1988, coming in second on a national level.
He is survived by his wife, Dell; his children; two grandchildren, Patrick Lillge of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., and Jessica Lillge of Ledyard; sisters, Irene (Frank) Matz of Waukesha, Sue Duchin of Dousman and Leona Schlecht of Madison; two brothers, Gordon (Arline) of Jefferson and David (Eileen) of Watertown; a brother-in-law, Joe (Irma) Thamke of Sullivan; a sister-in-law, Thelma Thamke of Center-ville, Iowa; many nephews and nieces, dear friends and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers.
Bob will be remembered as a loving, caring husband, father, grandfather and friend.
A “Celebration of Life” service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Watertown, and per Lillge's wishes, he will be buried at sea with full United States Navy honors.

Timothy “T.J.” J. Morris, 51, of Watertown died Friday, Aug. 31, 2007 in Columbia County.

T.J. was born in Camp Lejeune, N.C., on May 26, 1956, son of Matthew “Bud” and Dorothy (Petty) Morris.
On Feb. 17, 1979, he married the former Barbara Carr in Milwaukee.
He graduated from Hamilton High School in Milwaukee in 1974 and had served in the United States Army. He had been employed as a conductor for the Canadian Pacific for 32 years.
T.J. was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Watertown. He was local chairman of United Transportation Union No. 281. He enjoyed spending time on the computer and reading.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Morris of Watertown; his parents, Bud and Dorothy Morris of Libertyville, IIll.; three daughters, Pam (T.J.) Gordon W. Olsen, 92, of Watertown, formerly of Oconomowoc, stepped into eternity with Jesus with his family present on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007, at Golden Living Center in Watertown.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9, at the Pagenkopf Funeral Home, 1165 Summit Ave., Oconomowoc, with the Rev. Donald Gephart officiating.

Gordon was born Sept. 19, 1914, in Milwaukee, son of Godfrey and Emma Olsen. He married the former June Henschel on Sept. 19, 1942, in Oconomowoc. She preceded him in death on Sept. 23, 2005.
Gordon had been employed at Allis Chalmers for 29 years and Oconomowoc City Utilities for 10 years, retiring in 1979. He was a member of Alliance Bible Church in Oconomowoc and Oconomowoc American Legion.
Gordon enjoyed woodworking, gardening, landscaping and music of his day. In later days at Beverly Terrace, he enjoyed delivering mail, people watching, and visits from friends and loved ones. (Vickie) Olsen of Bellevue, Neb.; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Linda Olsen of Colgate; a sister-in-law, Betty Lensmith of Oconomowoc; other relatives and friends.
He was further preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Ellsworth; and four sisters, Beulah Olsen, Edna Heinrich, Gladys Meloy and Violet Zastrow.

Gina A. Dunham
GREEN BAY - Gina Ann Dunham, 39, of Green Bay, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Sept. 2, 2007.
Gina was born on April 9, 1968, in Portage, daughter of Gerald and Aleta May (Hollatz) Bergers. She attended Pulaski High School and NWTC in Green Bay. On Feb. 2, 2001, she married Charles Dunham in Green Bay. She had been employed with Dr. Robert Crowley, DDS, as a dental assistant.
Gina loved time with family most of all and especially loved time with her four children. She also enjoyed time with her extended family and her many friends. She liked to travel and especially liked traveling with Charles together on their bike. She saw much of America from the back of their motorcycle.
She will be sadly missed by her husband, Charles; four children, Angellica, Jerry, Roberta and Charles; one grandchild, Jaganae; her mother and father, Aleta and Terry Meyer of Green Bay; a brother, Tim and Nicole Meyer of Appleton and their son, Logan; grandparents, Ed and Ellen Hollatz of Oconomowoc, Claudia Meyer of Green Bay and Florence Christiansen of Maine; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Alberts of Luxemburg and her children, Chance and Patience, Tony and Amy Dunham of De Pere and their daughter, Amber, and Michelle and Ben Schultz and their children, Kennedy and Kaiden; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Peter and Susan Dunham of Kewaunee; as well as many aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her biological father, Gerald C. Bergers; her grandfathers, Ron Meyer and Dennis Bergers; and one aunt, Marilyn Piche.
Friends may call at East Side Moravian Church, 505 E. Allouez Ave., Green Bay, on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be at the church on Wednesday at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Marion Boyle officiating. Burial services in Ixonia will be held at Glenview Memorial Garden for family and friends. Times will be announced.

Esther L. Schmidt
Esther L. Schmidt, 85, of Watertown passed away Friday, Aug. 31, 2007, at Marquardt Memorial Manor in Watertown.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with the Revs. David Groth and Victor Tegtmeier officiating.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Hafemeister Funeral Home and on Wednesday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Clyman.
Esther was born on June 3, 1922, in Juneau, daughter of Edward and Martha (Christian) Maas. She married Ewald Schmidt on Sept. 5, 1942, at Zion Lutheran Church in Clyman.
She graduated from Zion Lutheran Elementary School in Clyman. Esther worked in the cafeteria at Heavy Duty and in the laundry at Bethesda Lutheran Home. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
Esther enjoyed cooking, dancing, baking, fishing, camping and playing cards.
She is survived by her husband, Ewald Schmidt of Watertown; her children, Margaret (Vern) Schuett and Edward (Joanne) Schmidt, all of Watertown; four sisters, Hildegard Otto of Hustisford, Helen (Herbert) Abel of Watertown, Lenore (Allen) Crass of Menomonee Falls and Dorothy Childers of Ocala, Fla.; five grandchildren, Travis Schmidt, Brian (Erin) Schmidt, Allison Schmidt, Tonja (Brad) Frohmader and Danielle (Stacy) Genz; three step-grandchildren, Shawn (Jenny) Budig, Wayne Budig and Vanessa (Rick) Rubenbauer; six great-grandchildren Gabrielle Schmidt, Brayden Schmidt, Morgan Frohmader, Madeline Frohmader, Jordan Genz and Cooper Genz; and seven step-great-grandchildren, Corey Budig, Zachary Budig, Samuel Budig, Hannah Budig, Paige Budig, Cade Rubenbauer and Logan Rubenbauer.
Esther was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Butch Schmidt; and a daughter-in-law, Mary Schmidt.
The family would like to extend their appreciation and deep gratitude to Marquardt Memorial Manor for the care they gave Esther.

Kenan G. Saeger
STOUGHTON - Kenan Gregory Saeger, 17, of Stoughton, formerly of Lake Mills, is now resting peacefully in his Savior's arms following a tragic automobile accident on Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2007.
Kenan was born on Jan. 17, 1990, in Oconomowoc, to his loving parents, Brian and Deborah (Goldman) Saeger.
Kenan was going to be a senior at Stoughton High School and had just enlisted with the U.S. Army and was due to enter service upon his graduation in 2008.
He was a faithful member of the Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oregon.
Kenan participated in football and wrestling and was looking forward to his senior year at Stoughton High. He was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears and loved to hunt and fish. He was a youth member of the Wisconsin Walking Horse Association.
Kenan is survived by his parents, Brian and Deborah of Stoughton; two brothers, Kyle and Kristian of Stoughton; maternal grandparents, John and Lois Goldman of New Berlin; paternal grandparents, Melvin and Mary Ann Saeger of Juneau; four aunts; six uncles; many cousins; and the love of his life, Melanie Christian of Stoughton.
He was preceded in death by his uncle, Kevin Saeger.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oregon with the Rev. William Mark officiating.
Friends of the family may call on Monday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Olson-Holzhuter-Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton.
