Fall Festival returns to city Oct. 6

The annual Watertown Fall Festival will return to the downtown area on Oct. 6 with activities for people of all ages.
Over 80 vendors will be lined down Main Street from First Street to Fifth Street from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Rick Krueger and the staff of Premier Martial Arts will be turning the lower level of the River's Edge, 116 S. First St., into a haunted house. The house will be open from 1 to 7 p.m. and the cost of admission is $4.
Several activities will be held at The Market Specialty Shopping Mall throughout the day. Some of those events include live music, German food from Augie's European Cafe, an antique silent auction, face painting, make and take scarecrows and a bounce house.
The Market will also feature the first ever Blue Ribbon Exhibit Contest. Participants can enter a homemade pie, quilt or seasonal floral arrangement.
The deadline to enter the contest is Oct. 1. For more entry information, call Debra Moralez at 262-2348.
The Fall Festival will also include a petting zoo at AFP Pets, 204 Emmet St., and horse drawn wagon rides that will start at The Market.
The Watertown Senior and Community Center will be hosting a bridge tournament and 5-handed sheepshead tournament. Everyone is welcome to register on Oct. 6 at the Senior Center. A small fee will be charged to cover the cost of prizes.
The bridge tournament will be held from 8:30 to 11 a.m. and the sheepshead tournament will be held from 12:30 to 4 p.m.
Hat Creek Candles will be holding tours of the factory to show how clean burning candles are brought to life. Reservations can be made by calling 262-9995.
Juhl Photography, 205 E. Main St., will be taking family portraits between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and the Jesse Stone House Bed and Breakfast, 300 S. Washington St., will be open for tours between 1 and 3 p.m. A wine tasting will be held at Generation Jewelers, 111 E. Main St., from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
There will also be food, music and performances by the Blue Revue Dance Team, Premier Martial Arts and Gymtastics.
