Kenneth Roeseler and Lorraine "Lou" Kersten were united in marriage on Dec. 5, 1953, during a 7 p.m. candlelight service at St. John's Lutheran Church with the Rev. M. A. Bertermann officiating.

Donna Klingbeil (Moldenhauer), cousin of the bride, was the maid of honor and the late Gordon Roeseler, cousin of the groom, was the best man. The other attendants included Carole (Roeseler) Christian, sister of the groom, and the late Gilmer Christian, brother-in-law of the groom; also Dorrene Moschetz (Krueger), friend of the bride, and the late Wilbert Kersten, brother of the bride. A reception was held at Plattdeutscher Hall.

There are three children, Keith (Karen) Roeseler of Blanchardville, Dean Roeseler of Watertown and Sharon Roeseler of Downers Grove, Illinois.
